Alright, these new events (introduced in Halloween updates) are about the Guild Modus Sceleris, so far I found and posted all events, locations etc of Lornar's Pass, but there is more, I hear people talking about Modus Sceleris found on different maps like Frostgorge Sound,Timberline Falls, etc, not only in those mentioned in wiki (Fireheart Rise and Lornar's Pass).

Some information are missing on wiki about Modus Sceleris, and also there are locations maps posted on reddit Modus Sceleris - Help track down these troublemakers, but to be honest, is lacking information as well so I am trying to find them all, and post here for the community. I am very curious about Modus Sceleris and also they give decent rewards and chest rewards, and as I understand, the rewards scales depending on your level (confirmed).

Modus Sceleris - Lornar's Pass:

Event name: Win Three rounds of Modus Sceleris's tournament
Activation: Talk to Brigga the Bruiser to start the Event.
Availability: Always
Respawn time: N/A
Location: On plateau north of Lost Delver's Ridge:




After talking with Brigga, the Tournament event will start, there are 3 rounds, 1st round is to defeat the 5 initiates, 2nd round consist in defeating a random Modus Sceleris member and 3rd and last round, you need to a random Modus Sceleris. After the event, a Modus Sceleris Supplies chest will spawn.

Event name: Defeat Orma of Modus Sceleris
Activation: Check the Merchant's Cart and tell the Quaggan NPC that the Cart doesn't belong to her.
Availability: Unknown/Random
Respawn time: Unknown/Random
Location: North-West of Refuge Peak Waypoint :


In this event you need to fight Orma, first she will be disguised as a Quaggan Merchant, selling some luck potons (don't buy them, they don't work). To activate the event you need check the Cart, select the last option to discover that the cart belong to someone else, then talk to the Quaggan Merchant and accuse her for fraud, and then Orma will reveal herself. It is a difficult fight if you are low level, so be careful. After the fight a chest will spawn.

Event name: Stop memebers of Modus Sceleris from ambushing adventurers.
Activation: Check the chest (see map location image for more details)
Availability: Unknown/Random
Respawn time: Unknown/Random
Location: North of False River Valley (Icebound Plunge Point of Interest) :


You will find a chest, sitting right there at Icebound Plunge, by checking the chest you will start the event, lot of mobs spawns there (Guild Initiates) and the boss Freeth (Charr Enginner). This fight will not be easy, the best you can do is try to kill the initiates first or pull the boss alone, Freeth is difficult because he will start jumping and spawning turrets everywhere, try to interrupt him.

Event name: Defeat Veland of Modus Sceleris.
Activation: Just walking to location, before reaching the skill point at Reaper's Gate
Availability: Unknown/Random
Respawn time: Unknown/Random
Location:Reaper's Gate, right before reaching the Skill Point :


Here you will fight the Necromancer Veland, be careful with him, his Axe attack have an incredible long range and high damage. When he is about to be defeated, he will morph into a rat and summons rats to attack you, they have a nice DPS, so quickly try to kill them first then go after Veland.

I have yet to find a single one since the creation of the events.

I've only found one, which was the tournament event. This was down in the southern section of Lornar's Pass, around Venison Pass IIRC, and it was pretty obvious since there was a huge group of them and banners all over the place. I suspect there are a large number of places they can appear that aren't yet listed on the wiki.

I don't think you can "activate" the events. You just have to get lucky and run across one of them, just like the Skritt Thief in the chest. We'll probably never be able to predict their appearances and set up a timer like we can with the dragon champions.

The Skritt is actually 'activated' - there are 4 chests, each chest yields one achievement, and each chest can spawn in one of several spots across three maps (per chest); one-two spots per map. Visit all possible spots and you're sure to find the chest unless someone has just activated it a minute before your arrival.

I'm pretty sure the Modus Sceleris events work quite similar, but i've only ever met them once, in Fireheart Rise - the tournament as well.

Considering all the chest I opened was with my Elementalist that is level 40, I didn't get much, I think the rarest thing I got was a Crest of the Rabid (rare). With my warrior, when I was in Fireheart Rise I got an exotic level 76 armor piece, so there is possibility to get rare or exotics items, like any other chest from the game.
