2 main reason. If you read me enough and know me, you should get it even not needing me to answer:
1 share my opinion , believing Anet care of the community and fansites (accordingly to Gaile Gray who i personally talk with), reading what the playerbase thinks and wants, and try to arrange a solution for their game. Enlight bugs, malfunctions, etc.

2 If necessary, wake up some minds, from their sheep state to human state with a brain, and just dig the company ruining our beautiful game

If you log, you will discover what i am ingame, what i gained, how much i play, how much active i am, what role i have on the guild i'm mostly representing. As explained enough(but clearly i still need to reexplain myself sometimes) i'm a deep lover of this game.
Pure hater of Anet and how the company is managing it thowing this masterpiece into a junkmmo.

Your post here is not welcomed nor necessary, just flame and questions about me i can answer ingame. Maybe even not talking with me, just when you meet me you realize a lot yet

For sure, back in thread, i'm the first to explain to a newcomer/ someone who want to rejoin this game, what is gonna find (junk), just the truth he will face and agree as soon as he log. Lover? ye. idiot fanboy? nah

Also to add to the discussion about refunds. If you pre ordered it more than 6 months ago you can't obtain one. I tried though I'm not regretting the fact I tried late because I wouldn't refund it if I could now.

Though I often agree with much of what you say, I have to point out one thing.  It's THEIR game, it's not ours.  People should be more mindful of this fact.  We don't get to call the shots, we only get to give our opinion.  Ultimately, ArenaNet are entitled to do whatever they want to the game.  The only rights we have is to choose whether to play or not.

Depends on the Story in my opinion.

Charr Blood Legion. Awesome story.
And surprising enough most of the Sylvarri stories. Caithe surprised me with how ruthless and badass she is.

No doubt, they can turn it tomorrow with a patch to a racing game. But until is sold as a fantasy mmo, is a fraud, actually
(Sorta of what is the actual advertisement, not mentioning at all the gear grind, but still claiming this game as skin based for the sake of the fun without any form of geargrind, real successor of gw1. Neither the dust of it, actually.
Nor mentioning the gamble involved on everything use the mystic forge/gemstore allowed to minors using real cash, etc etc)

You can change the game how you want, you cannot sell apples telling the customer is oranges, nor play the law at the borderline on a game where minors play

Oh please people.  You paid for the game just like a bunch of other games out there that you either like or dislike, ie COD:MW2.  So really, who cares what was advertised.  If you didn't like the game, you should have asked for a refund and not played it.  If you got a refund, you should not be posting negative answers to the thread.  If you didn't get a refund and continue to play the game, you must be getting something out of it and not only that but you are completely getting away from the OPs question.  OP, try it, you may just enjoy it like a hell of a lot of us do.  The game is a good game.  Yes there are issues but I have never encountered them and who the hell cares what ANet said at one time.  If the game is good, it's good.  You need to make that judgement.  Don't let the naysayers here make that judgement for you.

In fact, the real problem is the junk ingame, not the advertisement. Topic already perfectly explained yet.
I was just answering about the "their game and they do whatever they want". In fact, they can't, not advertising it properly.

All the stories are bad. They begin mediocre, which you expect to get better, then you choose a group and realise choosing all that starting bio was just a waste of time, then you get to the "main" storyline, find out you're not even the main hero and the story has become even more one track.
They promised us a branching story that changed depending on what path you chose. The decisions mean nothing. They lead to the same place and don't change anything.

Lucas Ashrock. You overstate so many things. You speak as though you are all knowing and everyone else is an idiot. May I suggest, that the reason you are encountering so much kicking from groups is you? I have never encountered any problems and have met 99% nice people in anything I do.

OP it depends what you want from the game. I am having fun with fractals and wintersday content right now. I will continue on with story + explorable dungeons and WvW/sPvP at some point no doubt. I can log on and just do what I fancy whenever which is great.

Fractals do have agony starting at level 10 yes, but only on bosses and all agony attacks are avoidable. Check out the videos of people doing 49+ fractals (where any agony resist you can get is worthless by that stage), to see how good play is more important. I would say that once you get past level 10 fractal, you really see the difference between good and bad players. You need communication and co-ordination. It is good.

I doubt, if you're smart enough to read everything i write here, you would assume my attitude is an elitist " i know everything others are idiots". I'm quite the opposite, a community guy, here and ingame. Not a surprise my arah fullset and dungeon master is completely pugged. ( so made with the community, just not junk for sure) ^^
I'm just quite vocal and disilluded. As in real life, i don't buy frauds, and if i find one, i work toward to dig who perpretrated it. One of us, just realistic and pointing the truth as it is, without fanboysm "but tomorrow will be better" when it's proved for 4 months it's not at all, we keep getting released online junk as patches etc as i perfectly explained.
I focus a reality everyone can meet playing a pug about senseless kicks, reported by a lot of players, addressed as a major issue by Anet, patching something about it ( still is useless but better than nothing). This doesn't means every group do it and every single player is this junk.
Sorry to delude you, i've never been kicked one single time from any group from prelaunch, nor i personally met this kind of junk except one time where 2 guys of same guild organized a kick at last boss for guildies invites. Sadly for them, one of the guy kicked with me was a guildy, both made a report asap, and i took a picture of their chat using offensive language, and a pic of party names. Opened a ticket, pretending Anet help. Ended up with both abuser guys banned, priceless Less junk on our game, better life for all of us. If you just feel there is something strange or wrong on your team , play safe, take a pic of the party for a future ticket + ban of this trash.   And when joining a pug, expecially a pug with 2-3 players of the same guild, thinks twice and leave if you don't know them , or be sure you're the dungeon leader. Loads of fun when they didn't realize in time at last boss they kicked for the smart "let's invite guildies" trick the party leader  or kicking at maw, resetting, plus a ticket and report, and them banned, an other priceless pleasure
