Grenades #1, 30% damage reduction...how bad?

2 Earths works because it increases the chances of the sigil proccing.  You won't get two stacks of bleed on one crit ever but you will get an extra 24% chance to bleed on a crit.  I have no idea why you would run any other combo, though.  Maybe they just aren't aware of how the cooldowns work?

Thats incorrect. Only the same sigils run the same CDs. Two earths run the same CD, but blood+fire and air+fire are different CDs.

I'm pretty sure there is but one shared CD.

Yeah, one shared cooldowns.
Sigils and runes cooldowns are not shared tho. So Air sigil+Air rune works perfectly (especially on D/D ele...)

Yeah, easy way to test it is to use Rage with any other sigil.  See if you ever get any sigil procs after a quickness proc.

I can only assume they made it work in this manner so that duel wielders less of a sigil advantage over two handers. I know out wasn't always this way though.
