So i just taking a break from gw2 for a month, and 2 days ago, before i come back, my guild mate text me sayin that a lot of commanders, golden titles, legendary wielders and even somebody without those got hacked.
And Anet wont do anything about it.
I did some research on forums and reddit and it turns out to be true.
They said those hackers can get your info just by standing next to you.
And ive been avoiding the crowd lately, i even have to jump into my alt just to get into LA, but now the wintersday is here and i want to participate ao bad, but still scared.
Can anyone tell me if they all gone or ?

It must be true since some people on the internet said it.  

I'm almost positive that isn't how it happened.

It always has been and I'm pretty sure the people that said hackers can get your information by standing next to you were being incredibly facetious.

In my experience with playing the game, I have not seen more than a handful of people's accounts get hacked, nor have I heard of them stealing away accounts and all. While it does still happen, Arenanet is known to take accounts very seriously (they prove it with the new phone unlock feature for your account). This means that account thieves are mostly just driven away from the idea of hacking at knowing this exists, and the ones who still have the courage to try have a lower success rate with the IP address confirmations on the website.

In short, I wouldn't worry about it. I've hardly heard of accounts being hacked, and the ones who do are a very small group.

They do now have account restoration that was put in fairly recently so that's one good thing. I wasn't able to find anything current about accounts being hacked. The sites I found were at least a couple of months old. I would be interested in seeing a link showing there is a lot of current hacking.

Last i heard they were working with the people who were targeted to figure out wtf happened. Chances are if they do fix it they still won't tell the public anyway.

The game has always been safe.
Use a unique username (optional but recommended) and a unique password (not optional) and you will not be hacked.
Don't buy gold from gold sellers and you will not be hacked.
Basically don't be an idiot and your account is safe.  It always has been.
