Not fun. Lame design. Same garbage as halloween puzzle. I love jumping puzzles and don't mind doing them timed, but I don't like doing them with other people like this. If they're going to strip everybody of abilities they should also normalize everybody's avatar sizes so you're not getting screwed by eclipse causing huge avatars.
It adds a different luck factor - the luck of getting a grouping of other players that doesn't have a charr and/or norn.
I finished the halloween puzzle several times and I'll finish this one - it's just a matter of feeling like spending the time, and getting lucky with no charr/norn.

Mouse turn FTW. Forward, left strafe, right strafe on keybinds. Keyboard turning is your enemy.
On the last stretch of presents, follow the blue ones. Run up the candy cane in the middle, then continue with the blues until done.
If you have a bunch of Norn with you, let them get a step ahead. Almost everyone will fall in the first few seconds, and you'll be free to go without being obscured.
Almost the entire way through you'll be holding down the forward key and hitting jump as needed. The big exception are the two candy canes sticking from the wall. There's no room to move on them, so it's a quick stab of both jump and forward at the same time, then a split second of coming to a full stop before jumping again.
On the exploding present stairs I always went toward the right, and never experienced the gust of wind that people refer to. Didn't even realize there was such a thing. Not sure if it had to do with my position or timing.
Try to laugh, enjoy the music and the scenery. Don't get too focused on the end.
I did it on a small female Sylvari after about a dozen tries. Once you get past the rolling snowballs, you're almost done, so take heart and stick with it. Even without rewards, it was fun to have all those ridiculous squealing gingerbread men cheering for me at the end.
And remember. Join in the snowball fight.

I wonder if we'll see this next time. They could have transformed us all into gingerbread men or something else thematic, then everyone would be the same size. I didn't have problems seeing my toon on a small, female Sylvari, but I can imagine it would be tough with an Asura.
I wonder if that would increase lag, though.

That and larger characters blocking your view, getting to the end is all about luck, not skill.
For real? Wow, I must be getting luckier and luckier the more I do it, as opposed to more and more skilled at it.
I've completed it probably 80-100 times, much faster and much more consistently now than when I started, and across all three paths.
But nah, it's all about luck.

(yes I know, cheering does strange things to your shoulderpads)

Still, great idea with the snowballs in the waiting room, I had a stupid grin on my face for the whole time
