Rare mystery Wintersday boxes will have a chance to drop throughout the world. They will also be available in the consumable category of the Gem Store. They will contain gifts available in-game, plus a random item only available in the store.
Boxes will contain one to five gifts, plus one of the following:
Common: a Wintersday dye pack, a gingerbread snowball mortar, or one of three unique Wintersday transformation tonics.
Uncommon: One of three new festive miniatures; a snowman, a festive golem, or the toymaker’s Infinirarium.
Rare: The festive fur cap, and a claim ticket for your choice of winter wooden weapons.
Very Rare: Infinite self-style hair kit or unique Wintersday baby quaggan miniature.

OMFG. cancel christmas and work and everything else, i'm not leaving my computer till i get that baby quaggan.

edit: in case anyone is interested, the recipe to make the baby quaggan pet is throwing 3 minis from the mystic presents and 50 enchanted stuffing into the forge. thanks to dulfy for this info.

Are the Boxes tradable or account-bound? Because I can see making tons of money by selling the crap if it were to drop.

I got 20 boxes (2 x a set of 10) and got 4 minis out of it, I put 3 of those with the 50 stuffings in there and got the quaggan.. I find the odds of the minis in the boxes not that bad tbh.

The stuffings are expensive as hell though now!

what you need 3 of the mini's now? Swear patch notes just said 1, with the stuffings...

oh and any news of being able to buy the other minis that were supposed to be available? Like the griffon or toy soldier etc?

Nope you need any combination of them three so you can choose if you want to put 3 of the same or 3 different ones in it..

And havent heard of the other 2 minis tbh.

the griffon, toy soldier, mini ventari etc are the minis you get when tixx visits the different races home cities.

Never seen a single one inworld, opening the big boxes, pve environment. On gemstore ye, paying, gambling, i saw it

Imo the baby quaggan pales in comparison to the Festive Golem.

As a pet collector I really, really want all of the pets, but I'm not flinging gems at the RNG chests to get 1 of everything.

I'll just buy the ones I'm missing from Tixx (once I craft my alloted 2) since it is an outright purchase. I wish it was like Halloween again. I did not bat an eye at purchasing 2 sets of those pets to get them all.

The doll, toy soldier, ventari, mini golem and plush griffon can all be crafted with mats earned from the dungeon. At least two or three of those can be made from mats by doing the dungeon every day thus far.

As far as farming it goes, the second run in a day nets you presents and im not sure if if youll get more cogs by repeating each version in a day when it hits LA

Furthermore i only bought 15 mystery boxes and got all three minis out of there so the drop rate definitely is tolerable

According to the official wiki at least one person has reported getting a Quaggan from the Giant Gift Box and it has been there since the event went live. If the information was incorrect it would have been removed a long time ago.

Official wiki is famous to be full of fakes. I can type i got 10 quaggan and people will believe it for months. Until someone else pass by and delete it.

Toy solider is from the instance. Probably the same for the griffon.

I got mine out of a Wintersday box... I haven't bought any, therefore it dropped in the world (not sure where, because I open boxes in town, next to the bank): TBH, I nearly fell off my chair!

Got the Quaggan from 300g worth of chests, really wanted the Hair contract since I could probably make about 10 of the quaggans from the amount of other minis I got.

I was just opening boxes in town, didn't really notice if it was a different one from normal... Was on my main, so generally I'd been getting the "giant" variety, although I DID have several stacks... TBH, when you have all that nonsense clogging up the inventory you just click through it as fast as possible, so may not have noticed a "Mystery Box" among the others... Sorry can't clarify!
