As I asked you in the other thread, but that was not the place for this discussion.

Right then. When I play MMOs I tend to get overdefensive and that is because dying in MMOs and in them only makes me feel very upset. To the point that I am prone to dropping the game altogether(it happens) or the character gets deleted after he dies(this happens 90% of time). I am now sure that this is disorder and I want to get rid of it(that is the size of my love towards GW franchise that I am willing to get rid of part of me just so I can enjoy them <3). The Origins of that weird behaviour are, I think, Hardore mode from Diablo 2 which I used to play fervently and the Classic Survivor title from GW 1. Both encourage overdefensive behaviour(to the point of paranoia :o) and rampant Creation of characters while you are searching for an answer how to do them...

Oh and I can't play anything without Defensive mechanics-Tanks prefered due to this weird behaviour(I am Like Eldar from 40k, not Like IG dam it!-in my core). Supporters and summoners and debuffers/crowd controllers are my core proffesions-in that order.

So, any advices? I REALLY want to play and love and enjoy GW 2, but I can't because of some stupid psych.mechanic. Any help at all is welcome(the sooner the better) :)...

I used to play a tank like you in GW until i discovered Jade Quary and nothing was the same again.
I don't know, maybe you need to start a mesmer therapy.
The title is misleading, i came here prepaired to give a more drastic solution.

Guess my favourite profession :D...

But I keep falling to defense on everything(Thief-30 Acrobatics/Mesmer-25 Chaos/25 Inspiration)! LoL I can't take this anymore! Not to mention that one whole profession is locked to me(Necro)...

And it is serious-idk what makes you think it is not(I wouldn't speak of it if it weren't).

And tbh, I am ready for drastic measures. I don't care anymore.

To paraphrase  Red: "I want to get busy living, not busy dying".

Easy: spec offensive and just play. If you're skilled enough you shouldn't be dying a whole lot anyway.
The option is there, no one is stopping you.

Optionally: role-play being an immortal lifeform. As immortal being you can still get your ass get kicked up to the point of going down and knocked-out, just not die from it. So whenever you go down, you swear revenge on whatever killed you and aim to become stronger so it won't happen again. Also: you don't believe in re-incarnation, so re-rolling is not an option for your character.

Perhaps I should go Offensive. Haven't done it in ages. I'll see about that...

Concerning the second point, it's the very first don't of Roleplaying. Unless Aion, but that's whole another ball game(Herp Angel Derp). How the hell do you even get resurrected in MMOs? One thing is Save/Load function, whole another thing are MMO resurrections...

Edit: yes, there is someone stopping me. My own self(that sounds weird I know). This is deeper than I realised(dam it!). Awww, Bloody Hell!

Grenth hates you. He doesn't like you, and he doesn't want you in his Underworld. So instead of taking your soul he puts you back at whatever waypoint your character wants to return at.

Not that you die anyhow in GW2. The point are the other MMOs. Nice explanation tho...
