so i just bought gw2 and downloaded both the disks. it then made me sign in to my gw2 account and it started dowloading the patch

it downloads almost all the way, to 99% and 1 file left and it stops downloading....

idk what to do, can anyone help me?

Make a shortcut to GW2. Where it sais "target" add the -repair parameter. Like this:
Turn

Target: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe"

Into

Target: "C:\Program Files\Guild Wars 2\Gw2.exe" -repair

Note that the location of Gw2.exe is not relevant, the path to Gw2.exe may vary from computer to computer depending on where you installed the game.

Mine did this before as well, I had to change my network DNS settings to google's IP address to get mine to work. If you don't get it to work send me a PM and i'll give you the instructions on what I did.

how big were the patches all up?
