I've been farming the jumping puzzle for these and the quaggan mini. I was just wondering if my work is worth it and if it is remotely possible for the quaggan pet to drop?

So how exactly do we get a Baby Quaggan pet? So there's a difference between the gift boxes we get from the Tixx events and the Mystery boxes we get from the Gem store???

Dulfy says that it can be crated via Mystic Forge using any Wintersday pet and 50 enchanted stuffing

So from my understanding of this, you have the Gifts, which shouldn't contain minis and then you have Rare Mystery Wintersday Boxes which can be either bought in the cash shop or have a very low chance of dropping in the world and those RMWB have an uncommon chance to have a mini. And then you need 3 minis to craft a Quaggan mini.
I haven't come across any RMWB yet.

Well, I think I've opened about a thousand gifts, always getting excited when a recipe pops up but it fades fast. Drop rate on this is almost as bad as the mini polar bear in GW1. I guess they never got away from the hyper-rarity kick they were on.

It looks like it's about 1 per server.

Not to speak of the Permanent Self-Style kit .. which can't be crafted in any other way!

Not only that, this would represent one of THE best options for a gold sink in the game. It hurts the rich more than the poor and it's complete vanity and it would be in massive demand.

184 gold on the TP, 15 available world-wide .. which should say something about the drop rate!
I agree that Anet isn't doing a lot to fight gold inflation. A lot of things that would take gold out of the game are now on the gem shop.

Once again GW2 is absolutely terrible when drop rates are in question (they don`t make things rarem they make them mythical) !

On the other hand BIG inflation works extremely well for Anet, the more gold you need (the less chance you can grind it) so with high exchange of gold for gems......solution that is blessing for Anet go figure who would thought !
