I’m rather confused on how to make gold right now. I spent a lot on crafting and on my Grandmaster’s Training Manual. I’m at Lv.61 and I don’t know how to farm gold. Any tips? I know I can buy gems and exchange for gold but I want to see if there’s a way around that.

Really, there aren't a lot of gold "farms" in this game. Your can gather nodes in Orr, which I assume you're probably not at yet (so that's out of the option right now), others will do dungeon runs for reasonable money, you can do map exploration and farm for the rewards and you can run meta events (such as dragons). But, most importantly most of the money right in is in Fractals to be honest.

Other than that, your big 'bucks' come from playing the gold 'ole Trading Post.

So I can't technically start to rack up gold until I get to Orr? I'm trying to farm gold on this guardian as my main so I can make alts later on easier with gold that I get from him.

About how much time does it take to farm one gold piece in total?

You really shouldn't be trying to farm gold right now. That's something you do when your lvl 80. There are a few good gold spots. Probably the best one is the new zone Southsun Cove, although the mobs there are fairly difficult, and its a pretty boring farm. The results are great though, tons of Blood drops, at lest 1/10min. I recomend doing it with a friend though, makes it more fun, and makes it much easier and faster. Another great way to make money is through Dungeon runs. Each run will net your about 26s at the end guaranteed, and you will also gain loot along the way. There are also the tokens you get, which, if you are doing Arah of CoE, you can trade for 2 rares and salvage for ectos. I usually get about 2-3g per run.

Not at all, there are better farming spots (one I'm thinking about in particular) that nets around 10g+ an hour.

Hotw and Cof 30 tokens for a rare also salvage into ectos. fyi

Farm Orr once you're 80, and don't worry about your gear and money and all that as you're leveling because it shouldn't be a problem. Having fine and masterwork gear is perfectly normal when leveling up, actually go for your exotics once you hit 80.
