I went go GamesCom 2012, i traveled hundred of KM to get there.

I was there all weekend and 90% of my time at the GW2 booth.

I took notes of what they were saying, and dozens of pictures, when i got home i posted on QQ forums what they told me.

They quickly came out calling me a "liar", or that i did misunderstand.

At that time i decided not to react, because i didn't care, and still don't.

Funny to see that nearly everything I posted has happened, i'm still waiting for the GvG, which they said more than once it was coming to GW2.

And the point of this is?....

Does it make you feel better? lol.  If you dont like the game, awesome, there are plenty out there go pay one.  Why should anyone care when you lost faith in anything.  Me, im enjoying a great game as many others are so.. yeah.

Faith.. and games two words that smart people never put in the same sentence.  The only concern should be am I having fun? yes? then the rest is just bull crap for the forum.

The thing that's the most problematic is that the things that were insanely positive didn't happen (GvG, authenticators), while the shit we feared the most (the complete lack of end-game), did.

I don't see your point. You talk like if you had say something incredible that will ruin the game completly. People freak out about the end-game. I don't know if its complete or not at this point, but i played and i plan to play a lot with the current content. They give use about 10 hours of new content each month.( you can play it for 10 min if you don't like, but some people play it several hours). The fractals count a lot of end-game content.

You say it like, the end-game is not ready. I see it more like the end-game will be expended. I'm more than ok with that.

Although I don't mind much, I also posted a post like the OP saying that Arenanet was being too ambitious with their promises, and then people claimed I was being unrealistic... now we're a while in, and so far, I/OP are correct.

However, we need to give it time.  It took GW1 so much time for the so called "highlight" features to even exist, so give it time.

I am curious, what end-game are you expecting? I remember your main complaint being it took too long to get to lvl 80. And you wanted to get to level 80 to be able to play anywhere in the game world. There is a ton of stuff to consume in the entire game world so that begs the question what are you precisely looking for?

Yeah... I might consider on getting a long break from Guild Wars 2 in despite of this.

I started playing Guild Wars 1 eight months after launch. No betas, no hype, nothing. I just stumbled across the game, free of expectations. And now, I notice the differences between now and before. It might take another 4 months for the game to get back on track, but those will be some agonizing 4 months for me to stick around for...

If people's level of "care" was at the same level of "willingness to complain", the internet would be a nicer place.

The biggest issue for me is the Economy. Somehow few of those con-artists figured out how to make a gazzilion of golds and they're running the economy. Just today I noticed that every single The Legend has been bought. This goes in the line of big drop in gem exchange from 1,67 to 1,2.... basically those who had stacked up on Gems now can buy out every single item out there and place their own prices on them. The economy sucks. It really does. I hated it in GW1 (ectos dropping from 9.5 to 4.5, then 7,5 then 10, then 7, then 9). The prices should be fixed.

I don't see how not having GvG YET will make a huge impact on your playing. We don't even have Guild halls, not even enough emotions as GW1 among other stuff. We first need some foundations to get to GvG.

We all had our moment I guess ..  ^_^

I still rate GW2 as above average but now I know and accept it will never be the better, prettier version of GW.

It is my impression that A-Net has never said that GvG will return. Do you have a source for these multiple confirmations? The forum topic you linked was later shown to have incorrect information.

So you posted a bunch of stuff that was either blindingly obvious or really interesting, the blindingly obvious stuff "came true" and they rest didn't.  Good job.

Please don't attempt to restart closed threads, especially in such a misleading way.
