Gee, that sure would've been hard for ArenaNet to type out somewhere, huh? But it's okay, being unforgivingly cryptic is apparently appreciated by some, I guess.

I can still get the tonic, you say? How so? As far as I know, the only way to obtain the everlasting griffon tonic is by using the frame in the forge. If you've knowledge of a different way, please divulge the information. If you're talking about the toymaker tonic, phooey on that. I don't want to spend a ridiculous amount of gold on something that should have been nearly free to obtain in the first place.

Why?
They are not your babysitter. Some things are simply there for they players to find out for themselves. Keep in mind that the information of them being used for everlasting tonics has been out since more or less the first day of Wintersday (or well, the second, when the first Frame was released)

I'm not asking for a babysitter, I don't know where you're getting this idea from, honestly. The information might have been "out" since the first frame was released, but the information hasn't been as widespread as it is now. The funny thing is that I hate all of the other Infiniarium minipets. I waited until the griffon was available before I crafted one. And what was I met with? A slap in the face because ArenaNet doesn't like to warn people.

You shouldn't be punished because you crafted the minipet you like. That's asinine. And yes, it's a punishment because now, as far as I know, the everlasting griffon tonic is unobtainable for me because I don't have another frame. You can, however, buy the minipet from the gem store. Why are the everlasting crafted tonics account bound? Hmm? Why are they special? Why can't they be sold on the trading post, while the everlasting toymaker tonic can? These are legitimate questions.

Let's agree that you think ArenaNet is in the right for not warning people, and I think they're in the wrong. I can tell your mindset isn't changing and neither is mine.

I don't think there will be, but it's not clear. I do not think they have said anything in this regard.

What shocks me more is that they didn't tell any body about the Tonics FIRST so people would have been forced to buy the pets from the gem store having using up their only chance to get the pet. Seems like one of a-nets little sneaky tactics they usually pull, surprised they didn't do it this time...

Exactly. The one time where it would have benefited me, they don't go for the cash grab. Ironic.

So you can't run an alt through Tixx and get a second frame?  Haven't tried myself.

What about when Tixx gets to LA?  You're supposed to still be able to do the previous days if you missed them.  But what about if you RE-do them?  Will you get a new frame/cogs drop?  He's going to be in LA for 2 weeks.  Will the only reason to run the instances again is for more gift rewards you get everywhere else?  And a chest that doesn't seem to drop much for me?  Perhaps they will reset each day.

Only time...and 24 hours....will tell.

I ran the first dungeon again on an alt and was rewarded with the Wintersday gifts. No frame for me. :/

It would be amazing if we could get more frames via the Tixx event in Lion's Arch, but I'm all too doubtful about that.

There are dungeons repeatable from LA just because they wanted to give their content not doing again a fail filled of complains with 1 time only (at their proper timezone) event, the fail or previous events.
You know, some are on vacations on christmas/new eve days..
If you did them all yet, you don't get any more cogs or mats or minis core component again. Just gifts.

This just in, a good friend of mine that works for an MMO site has told me that ArenaNet plans to present ways to get more frames in the coming days. I trust him due to him being right about multiple things in the past, but time will tell if there's any substance behind this claim. I'm crossing my fingers SO HARD right now.

Considering Rober Hrouda already stated we don't get anything more than 2 minis playing dungeons and mats from the dungeons are meant to be used just for this purpose, i highly doubt about what your buddy said as possible.
If a mass keep pushing "we want all minis", maybe. Doesn't seems to me so much pushed on the main forum, reddit etc, more than a few " i wantz all" kids.

anet is not forcing anybody to buy anything. It's clearly a marketing strategy that everybody uses even in stores you walk into everyday. The best solution is not buy it. By purchasing this you just confirmed that this strategy works. Does somebody need something like that so bad that people cave. My suggestion is not to buy this then later tell anet that you don't like the way they practice business making them realize they lost business. That's how free enterprise works.

Not much of a gamble to get the everlasting, just whatever the stuffing and glue cost you. The dust is cheap, you get the frame back if you don't get the eternal tonic. took me 10 tries to get two eternal tonics, and if I felt like spending a few more gold I'd probably end up getting two more, but tonics...meh. It's just nice to have them sometimes, but not really necessary, and not worth spending that much money on.

Assuming they clone the exact same content next year, yes. Speaking of which i doubt but ye, play safe, save them till next christmas
