Well, I honestly think Tixx is evil, and is turning the skritt into wintersday toys. I don't have much proof, but I'll add what I know and see what you guys think

1.) Sometimes when you use the plasma gun on a skritt, It says "Wintersday went splat, Giant clanker lied to us." This could be referring to Toxx offering the skritt something for there services, but instead turning them into toys

2.) The so called toys are referred to as "test subjects" which I think could point toward my theory

3.) This may not have to do with my theory, but it seems like we are getting smaller in the dungeon, and everything else is getting slightly bigger. Could Tixx be planning to use us next?

Personally, I've been getting a subversive vibe from Toxx - a bit like GlaDOS from Portal, in fact. It'd fit all the parameters if she's responsible for smuggling the skritt on board and for introducing the flaws in the toys that are making them malfunction.

If you talk to Toxx, she does say that she is there for Toy "liberation", and then corrects herself to saying "assistance" or something.

Well as long as we're able to run around as a Toy Soldier permanently, with our normal skill bars... I'd be happy

I thought it was obvious:

The "toys" are weapons of war. Why else would they be armed? The giant golem is a weapons factory and Tixx is going to take over the world.

"giant clanker" that the skritt refer to is likely Toxx.

Toxx outright says she's working for toy liberation. She also says "toys are people too." If you listen to the LAK-Y 200s' dialogues, they also mention how Toxx is messing with various things.

The only crime Tixx has committed is being so delved into his toy designing that he's failing to notice his creation Toxx's wiring is haywire.


@Drax: I'm also constantly reminded of GLaDOS when I hear Toxx. Especially the response quote that starts when you talk to her: "I-do-not-do-mistletoe. Oh. It's-you." - I half hear that last bit as GLaDOS's "Oh, It's you." from Portal 2, and have been mentally adding "You-monster." or "Remember-when-you-killed-me? That-was-fun." whenever Toxx speaks after that first time I did the dungeon...

There's also the "I-have-the-spirit-of-Wintersday-in-me." I don't recall the exact line from Portal that might be coming from, but it does sound very familiar...

If that's from Portal, then it's probably "I have the spirit of testing in me."

Toxx is definitely the one behind the toy uprisings, Tixx is just being clueless imo.
