Light: Priory
Medium: none
General: heavy Vigil, by far. You see it more than the other 8 sets together.

Priory looks good for medium and light, but the heavy armor is rather bland.
Whispers has it shining parts, but as a whole I don't like any of them.

Oh and replace the helm with that crafted monocle and you have a great look.

Vigil - Heavy
Whispers - Medium
Priory - Light
I love the way the Whisperer medium armor looks on human females.

Weird how the stereotypical setup: Vigil being heavy armor 'tough guys', Whispers being sneaky thieves (medium) and priory being caster'y (light) ends up almost always being everyone's favorite looking setup. Do we find it pleasing because we all internally buy into the stereotype & just think that is how the armors are supposed to look? ... did ANet graphical guys buy into the stereotype & spend the most time on those sets, making the stereotype sets look best on purpose? Irrelevant overall I know, but I find that stuff fun to think about. Oh and BTW, I agree with your choice on what looks best.
Though, if we're talking about clipping... personally I really like the Vigil medium pants but they're broken and clip horribly on my Norn female. Filed a bug report weeks ago ... and posted in the official forums about it too. .. really wish they'd fix it so I can wear my pants and dye them how I want without looking like my legs melt through my boots.

medium: vigil pants (female human/norn), whisperers shoulder. not much else.
light: none, I really don't like any of it.
other than a few specific items, I'm really not a fan of the order armors overall.

Light Priory armor is very nicely detailed but it looks like an oversized ballroom dress on Asura. It would look better on taller toons I reckon.

I've got heavy vigil armor planned for my warrior toon when it hits 80.

Medium: Vigil
Light: Whispers
The Vigil heavy armor is masterfully ornate without falling into the category of "gaudy"; the Vigil medium armor is very suitable for Engineers and maybe some flavors of Ranger; and the Whispers light armor is one of the most elegant and "dark" armor sets available for casters.
The Medium's a bit of a toss-up between Vigil and Whispers armor for me, though; the Whispers armor is pretty great, too.
Rather sick of armor magically obliterating my Charr's horns, though, which all of the light sets save the Vigil one do.
