I'll be doing my best to keep SBI in Tier 1.

Right through to 2014 if I can.

I've been fighting JQ for months, and I like killing them even more today than I did 3 months ago.

Hell, I think JQ and SBI are the only two servers with any history and rivalry that is worth a dam in this whole game.

Not facing JQ would be the biggest suck factor of dropping to T2.

That would be like the Red Sox not getting to play the Yankees.

PRX didn't promise anything to anyone, they came on their own in secrecy. They left on their own in secrecy. They didn't bring anyone with them either. They don't like bandwagoners to follow them and ruin servers like what the bandwagoners did to HoD.

That I can pretty much attest to.  I found out about PRX secretly moving and only a few of their members got into SOS server so I bandwangonned my guild into SOS just to have the chance to play alongside them.  We hopped from ET and after playing HOD, I found myself to admire their play style and never give up attitude where they took that lost in HOD when everyone fled.  I tried following them into SFR, but found out that it wasn't PVDoor as some people who's smoking something wants you to believe.  Vizunah has way more coverage than expected.  The reason for my leaving SFR and back to SOS was that I could hardly find anyone in PVE land during my brief stay at SFR.  There's just seems to be a lack of people during the time that I am on.

What I noticed is that PRX refers to pug folks as militia.  Some of the guilds in SOS are just calling them zergs...  Maybe it's due to the lack of respect for PUG and smaller guilds out there?  But the overall community in SOS is great, so who knows....

A job well done by JQ.  They came out swinging hard this week.

JQ doesn't brag. We cry. If you're going to try and slam us, at least be accurate.

TA announced (Oct. 5th) they were moving servers from HoD to somewhere.  When PRX transferred, so did a good portion of the guilds they were friends with and once the community figured out where they moved to, those who still wanted to coattail ride made the move as well.  There is no secrecy.  Doesn't need any, it still happened.

PRX is the only reason SoS came to T1. It's pretty str8 forward.

when i played with them on HoD (before i moved to SBI), they made it clear in TS that they were looking for a new home, that they would not announce a new home until they moved their base only so that it wouldn't fill up and split them up, but that they were *very* interested in working with certain HoD guilds again, and were pretty blatant about sweet talking solid cooperative teams into following them.

they know it takes more than just them to win. if you really think they dont want the bandwaggoners to help work towards the same common goal of making a server successful, or that they didn't repeat the same invitations to best cooperative leaders when they left SoS, im not sure what to say.

I would expect a guild like PRX to have relations with other guilds, and to confer or offer to have them come along. I don't understand the controversy with that.

That's not coattail riding, that is just wanting to play the game with folks you have developed friendly relationships with.

To much QQ out here, needs more play by plays. Anyways, I had an awesome time out in SBI BL today. Those 3 way fights over bay were intense, and JQ and SBI had us running between hills and bay so much I had to put on every swiftness skill I owned. JQ, sorry to push you guys of the map for a while, but you did wreck our **** last week so we wanted a little revenge. Looking forward to another awesome week of fighting, best of luck to all 3 servers.

<insert rant about rampant coordinated tysm portal bombs for most of the night in sbi-bl>

lol @ JQQ, watched you guys ram down the southern outer bay door even though you had 2 sections of the wall down right next to it.

followed a few minutes later by 3 way fight in bay, with no sound and no rendering and only knowing we werent successful by the blue skulls on the minimap. good times.

Never thought I'd find myself thinking that JQ was the classier opponent.  The SBI community needs to take DESU in hand tell them to knock their brand of BS off.  Spies, defending JQ targets, basically all the worst aspects we complain about ad nauseum, but all being performed by one group in the space of a few hours.

On the plus side, I'm loving SBI's golem based strategy.  It doesn't always work, but it's exciting to see new tactics brought to the table.

HOWDY ALL!  Great job everyone who was on JQBL today, made for some VERY interesting fights, and quite a few oh crap moments.  All sides were pushing hard for their own reasons, and you could tell the energy was quite something else.  Havent had this much fun in WvW since the first week joining you guys in T1.

Lets keep the fights going strong all week long!

Respectfully,
Tsym

Happy you like the colour. You are welcome to stay that colour if you prefer. We have no issue with that.

Great fights last night. I was on JQ BL. Agg were certainly out in force there. Let's see how the week pans out.

We were so used to be green, we had people saying "guys why do we have rams on our own keep?" right after reset. Screws with your head after being green for so long.

So many great fights! I hope WvW goes back to the "glory days". When a server is outmanned 15 minutes after reset, that isn't fun.

Same, had one or two moments after reset where I thought a tower had suddenly been flipped.

Also, awesome work by FoE and Agg on reset in the JQ Borderlands, I was rolling with you guys and was highly impressed by the response times. Keep it up

We couldn't have done it without militia support. Special mention to the small group of  ZN and MERC for securing supply for us to use! Last week's lost is absolutely what we need. It renewed everyone's passion for WvW.

I'm also impressed with all the other teams with their work in the other borderlands.  Everyone's on their A game during reset and I hope it persists!

What makes Tier 1 great is when all three servers are pushing for First. Don't give up SBI!

We still have a huge hole in our coverage which JQ is taking advantage of and rightly so.  We jumped on it earlier today which has helped. Excellent work today SoS across each BL.  Lot of work still to be done.

I had trouble with a few JQ camping our yak routes, shout out to the thief from ZN who helped me out with securing them. (I can't remember your name sorry!)

I have to give credit to SBI, they are not going to go down gently.  In weeks past they've been sure to be in bed early, secure in the knowledge that WM would protect them while they slept.  Now, they are putting in long hours to cover that gap and are not going to let us have our way with their BL.  I do love the collective "oh ----" moment SF had when we attacked Longview with rams and pulled you off of Hills.  I've never laughed while getting zerg'd to death until then.

If all SBI did was hold their BL and their side in EB, they wouldn't fall to Tier 2.  Not defending SBI BL allowed SoS to jump ahead.

Nice work SBI, I saw a post with SBI at 200 ppt.  I just wish more of those points came from SoS instead of JQ. :D

Excellent fights again last night. Many thanks to our opponents. I was on SoS BL most of my playtime trying to stem that red tide on my level 58 ranger :).

Looking forward to a great week of WvW pvp again.

Nice work SBI, I saw a post with SBI at 200 ppt.  I just wish more of those points came from SoS instead of JQ. :D

the problem with that logic is that it implies home BL and EB are the easiest keeps to hold. more realistically, the closest keeps to the spawn are the easiest to hold (garrison, eb, and bay or hills depending on the map). trying to hold bay and hills on the home map divides the entire home force by design, and puts them in position for long respawns compared to enemy forces.

unfortunately, getting SBI to log in to a non-SBI BL and take something has been difficult as the solid commanders seem to only play on home map and eb (thats a generalization, there are of course exceptions), and people dont stick around very long on maps without recognizable leadership. there is really no excuse for not having at least 1 keep per map.
