I picked the Hammer as my Main Weapon due to various reasons.
CC
Mobility by not being forced to stay at one point (like 100 Blades)
Hammer-trait is easily accessed by investing points into Defense (which we want to do anyway, due to the fact, that we want to be tanky)
Juggernaut is the best looking legendary by far!
I picked the Sigil of Superior Water. It AoE-heals about 400hp on a 10 sec cooldown and activates on critial hits.
The downside of this sigil is the requirement of a "critical" hit. Our base-crit chance of 4% is too low, sadly. I do heavily rely on "For Great Justice!" for the increased crit chance of 20%.
Second Weapon-Set: Sword & Warhorn
Mobility from Savage Leap, Charge and Call to Arms
easy positioning for Hammer Shock
I picked Hydromancy and Energy Sigil, because I use this weapon set for escaping/repositioning mainly. Freezed enemies and additional endurance aren't too bad, imo.
Runes
Spoiler
I picked Soldier runes, because I use 3 shouts which result in a triple condition removal.
Additionally it offers my favourite stats - Toughness and Vitality; sadly it offers more Vitality than Toughness, but I can't use the Dolyak rune, because I want the condition removal over the health regen from dolyak.
Gear Stats
Spoiler
I picked the Soldier Armor for the highest amount of survivability. You could also pick a few pieces of knight's gear - it's all about personal preference, imo.
Personally I'd put in a little bit of healing power aswell in order to boost one of our most important traits - Vigorous Shouts.
The formula for this trait can be found in the wiki: 40+((Level^2) x 0.18) + (Healing x 0.8) Source: http://wiki.guildwar...Vigorous_Shouts
Healing, Utility and Elite Skills
Spoiler
Healing Skill - Healing Surge
I picked Healing Surge over Mending, because we have 3 condition removals already (shouts). Additionally I like the higher amount of healing, since I don't spend my adrenaline too often (just for the Hammer Burst skill).
Utility Skills - "Shake it off!"; "For Great Justice!"; "Fear Me!"
Stun breaker with built in condition removal; AoE dmg Buff and AoE Fear - do I have to explain these? Additionally they heal for 1.5k health each time.
Earthshaker + Fear Me - 5 sec CC? Yes, please!
Elite Skill - either Signet of Rage or Battle Standard
I like the Signet for the movement speed buff only.
I prefer the Battle Standard - especially in coordinated groups.
Stability, fury, might, AoE ressurection and swiftness - enough said.
Traits
Spoiler
Strength - 10 Death from Above
When defending a keep -> jump off the wall -> AoE Knockback -> Earthshaker -> Fear Me = Huge amount of CC
Additionally the Strength-Trait-Line offers Power (always useful) and Condition Duration, which all the Hammer Skills rely on.
Leg Specialist
AoE immobilize on a 9.5 second cooldown (Hammer Shock)? Yep, please!
Lung Capacity
Along with Vigorous Shouts the bread-and-butter-traits of this build.
Reduced cooldown on shouts result in higher boon uptime, higher CC uptime, more condition removal, more stun breaks.
Vigorous Shouts
Just like Lung Capacity, absolutely necessary and the one trait, which this build is built around. Offers - even with 425 healing power - about 1.5k AoE heal.
Additionally the Tactics-Trait-Line offers Vitality and Boon Duration, which both are useful in this build.
That's it. That's my build I plan to use, once I get the gear together.
What's your opinion on it? Is the amount of defense-stacking just "too much"?
Do you think, that this kind of build is useless, due to the lack of damage?
I'd be happy about any sort of constructive critcism.
I am not too familiar with the commonly used Warrior WvW Builds out there; I am sorry, if this build is already known and used.
I am sorry for any kind of grammar mistakes - The english language is not my native language.
Thanks to anyone who took his time to read all of this!

Guild: Renovatio [Reno] on Elona's Reach [EU]
It's a very tanky build, with good group support and CC, but you won't get a lot of damage out of it. I've been using something similar, but, I prefer Embrace the Pain to Turtle's Defense, because I find I'm getting hit so often in WvW that it makes the adrenaline bar fill up extremely quickly. Also, if you are using the warhorn, Quick Breathing is very nice, although you would have to give up Lung Capacity to get it, so it is a tough trade-off. I don't have any use for Death from Above, so I prefer to have some points in Discipline to get Fast Hands.
