Basically I've reached level 80 I have exotic weapons and order gear atm. I am trying to buy karma gear and saving up for token gear.

What are somethings I MUST know. Not only about my class but in general at 80. Such as somethings about Mystic Toilet, gear level etc.

Also are there any thief specific things I should know? ( I have done relatively fast runs already of dungeons such as around 1 hour all paths AC runs ). Ac is the only instance I've done exp of atm. But I've done CM and TA story . I have a guild who are good and they help me with instances, they are around level 20 on fractals so I can't go with them ( i think ) and when should I start fractals.

Also is there any recomended trait trees? The reason I came back and started a new character as a thief was because I liked it and it was a profession not much of my guild played. Therefore I can't really get much advice from them

Well it's different for everyone.

We all have our playstyle and things we like - and don´t like.

For me it's gearing up in a way that I really like and having more than 1 character to do stuff with (and so I also understand what others are doing). I like to do dungeons, mostly. I don't really care for PvP or world completion or jump puzzles and stuff.
Getting the look and stats (including jewelry and sigils/runes) you want can take a while and it's not really possible without using fine T-stones. But well, perhaps you don't really care about looks.

What builds are concerned I'd take a look at the Thief forum. There's a number of proven builds available for every class and playstyle, (although some say that pure dps is the way to go). For the rest it's just learning while you do it.

Play the Thief series for sale on Steam which plays like how an actual Thief should be?  In GW2 you are the worst thief ever (not you personally iLag, in general. Thiefs in GW2 are more like Bandits).

I'm mainly talking about trait builds and the most popular ones are outdated or dont exist. ( shadows doesnt have one minions is very outdated)

lol at mystic toilet.

Just keep all the major sigil/rune you found and throw them in MF, you might make profit if you are lucky to get a nice superior upgrade.

Can't contribute on the thief part, my thief is still lv 22.

My thief is my main.  I started thief from day one.  Got level 80.  Finished personal story.  Got CoF Exotic armor.  Got Mad King exotic armor.  Maxed out my Leathersmith crafting profession so I could make another set of Exotic armor.  Maxed out Chef crafting profession because I just enjoyed that a lot.  Got Exotic sword and Exotic pistol from CoF.  Got 4 Exotic daggers(I bought these from trading post though) so I can run different builds.  Got an Exotic shortbow(I really want another one right now though).

Currently working on getting CoE Exotic armor and weapons.  Don't really like to farm, so I'm just waiting for the mats to come as I play and do what I want.

After I got all that, I decided to make a warrior.  Maxed out weaponsmith and armorsmith with my warrior.  Got to level 61, but started to not enjoy it as much as I did my thief so I decided to make a guardian.  Currently my guardian is level  66 and crafting professions are at 200+.  Starting to get bored of guardian too so I will probably go back to dungeoning with my thief to get that CoE armor and weapons.

I like to do fractals, but my guild doesn't do them very often.  Most of my guild mates like to do their dungeons and work towards getting a legendary weapon.  Sometimes when everyone is done with what they want to do though, we'll do fractals and that's fun.  I'm at 99% map completion and can't figure out where I need to go to complete that title.

I enjoy Analyzing.

I am not PvP kind of player (too much) but slight competitive playing is amusing. When I go WvW Eternal Battlegrounds Jumping Puzzle (which I prefer as home) I like to predict what other players are going to do. Doing my homework. What are they able to do with their different Traits, Utilitys, Elite, Weaponsets etc etc.

Shortly, I'm getting kicks out of predicting ppl's toughts and see that they did what I tought after the battle. So knowing what all Traits, Skills etc does and how to counter them is something I really enjoy. I don't know is there many of same kind of wierdos as I am but this is how I enjoy the game. If you are one of those who likes to "Master" all above with your specific class - that sir is something what takes some time and keeps you in playing. That was the answer to the Header of your thread.

About the questions after the header........ I am sorry but I have not played Thief THAT much to tell you how to be "good" as one. What I have noted is the Stealth duration and bugs along with it. When Stealth seems to fade off for you it fades off later to foes..... I can be mistaken but that's how it seems to be. Play some time with all the possible weaponsets to see which actually is to your liking. Go to the Heart of the Mists and do your Trait tree what you think is about your playstyle. When happy with it go back to the actual PvE side and use them in there a bit more "challenging play" like Fractals. This is what I do with all my classes and I find it amusing and makes me at least think I'm closer to mastering and understanding my class.
