Hi, I heard there was some good weapons/armors that you could get at level 50 that might last you until 80, currently I've just been using the armor I get from drops and quest, and buying cheap weapons from the trading post. (or using dropped ones) I've got 37k karma atm, is this level 50 gear worth it?

My trait skills are: 12 strength 15 defense 10 disciple (currently level 47)

Current skills: sword/axe

Healing Signet

For Great Justice

SIgnet of Might

Signet of Rage

Other skills I use from time to time: Mending, Battle Standard, and I just bought Banner of tactics.

Bought some other skills, but I don't really use them yet.

Are there any must have skills I haven't mentioned? And what is the main skill used by warriors for healing allies?

have you been crafting? Just get weaponsmith on your warrior, you can level up easier and craft your own desired weapons.

Didn't know much about the whole crafting thing until I was in my mid 20s Didn't even know about the little deposit collection thing at first, so I was throwing a lot of the stuff I got from bags away.   I've been collecting everything I see since then, but I think I still lack a lot of the low level materials.

Edit: I only crafted to make 3 8 slot bronze boxes.

Its real easy: below 80 nothing matters!

You can do whatever you want in whatever gear you want. At 80, you'll have ALL the skills (though I must point out that only Signet of Rage is worth it for an elite - save your skillpoints unless you *really* want the others) and can retrait at will.

And dont get level 50 gear to keep to 80. You'll literally be both gimping yourself and throwing money down the drain as the rare gear costing you a boatload is worse than something +5 levels that cost nothing at all.

If you actually want to be effective in leveling up then you're doing it all it wrong. That's also easy:

- Buy cheap masterwork gear on the AH every 10 level (that's like 10 silvers or something). Its not until 80 that you should buy/craft rare material. Karma pieces works as well if you get it while its fresh (ie your level).
- Scavenge cheap gear with the basic kit, sell the higher quality gear for coin but put rare or higher on TP.
- Zone completion at 60+ levels is a great way to get alot of coin while levelling. You can get exotic gear which sell for gold.
- In your specific case, change weapons. Sword/axe is a horrible combo, probably the worst there is for a warrior - the sword is bad without a condition spec (which you dont have going by the trait lines) and the axe offhand is really bad since it has lower dps than axe auto-attack. At the very least swap them around to go axe/sword, that'll give you a good main hand and a some utility in the offhand with riposte.

When you're 80, you can start worrying about how to trait and how to gear.

pretty straight forward guide there. Another way is to go WvW and follow the zergs to level up. Or go to join AC explorable mode to level up, easy dungeon, just ask and learn.

And dawdler is right, save your gold for lv80 equipment, you can use karma stuff at the moment!

This is mostly true; Battle Standard has its uses, but the rest of them (the transform elite and AFAIK any racial elites you get) are just novelties.

Battlestandard has its uses, yes... But its incredibly weak. The duration of the boons is a complete joke by Anet. I cant even look at it without thinking "They cant be serious, this is a 240s CD elite skill?!?!!" every time I accidentally browse over the skill. Since the revive doesnt work on fully dead people, that function is also pointless - blow a 240s CD or simply spend 2s reviving the character? Lol what a choice. Having other characters pick it up and constantly blow the banner skill CDs sort of goes against the point (and render them useless instead). If the 2 skill actually revived people on a CD... Then maybe. Just maybe.

Sorry, just had to rant a bit. I hope the BS gets buffed considerably in the future

Thank you. I managd to get my crating up to 75, and I was collecting materials for 75-150, but kind of got bored of that. Took around 1 hour 15 min just to find 12 small totems, and I was using those 22% magic find items, had some small totems from before though, so I managed to get 28. I was dreading collecting the tiny fish scales, I only have 8 right now, and I hate fighting underwater, don't want to know how long that would take, so I put it off.

I stopped doing my personal story quest at level 48, because it bugged out on me(I think) right at the end, and I didn't want to do that painful quest all over again. The quest qas "On Red Alert" for  the durmand priory.

I made it to level 55, on some nights they are very active, but most of the mid level zones are dead on most nights, well, at least the Hinterlands are, not really sure where to go now. Guess I might head to the bloodtide coast, seems to be mostly water though. >_<

Edit: Just got there, thankfully it's not as bad as I thought it was going to be.

Edit 2: Seems most of the quest and events are bugged in this area.

Usually novelties, or just incredibly situational. The Leopard Transform is great for classes without stealth to go invisible and rush at an enemy at 1.2k range, also critting them for around 2-3k. Great for taking enemies by surprise.

But even in that situation, what Warrior would seriously choose a 3K "surprise novelty attack" over 40 seconds of complete mayhem with might, fury and swiftness?! Snow leopard form even last less time!!! Not to mention removing power/precision/whatever stacks on you if I recall correctly...

That Warrior would be insane IMO. Or a roleplayer. In which case he may very well be insane too.

The battlestandard is pretty neat versus AoE bosses, if 2-4 people get downed you can rez em all with just using the banner, that in my opinion makes it pretty good.

Signet of rage is pretty lame imo.

See, what you do is you use it to enter the fight. Nothing else.

Also, for 5 stacks of might to = 3k damage, the fight would have to last a rather long time. If you're doing a surprise attack, chances are, you're not looking for a prolonged skirmish. Snow Leapord Stealth and Rush into the fight, exit Snow Leapord form, hit FGJ, Frenzy, HB, and kitten your target. /end

If the target is foolish enough to die because of that, they would have died to you anyway. Its why I love playing a bunker in PvP, last night I had a frenzy greatsword user try to do the same tactics, albeit without snow leopard - he knocked 5000 off my HP which was regenerated in seconds, lol.

That's certainly a niche that Snow Leopard form has, but its not really a niche that I feel like warriors really need. We don't really have anything that encourages or rewards a stealth/trickery approach. On the other hand, we have quite a few ways to ensnare, root or stun an enemy, several good ways to close distance and an awful lot of sources of damage that can hit for more than 2-3k. We're rewarded for using force.
