If you are wanting to changes your "traits" then you go to your class trainer and for a fee he will allow you to re-do them. Stats can be changed by changing the gear you are wearing. I do not believe you can change your name yet, but you can buy "makeover kits in the gem store....click on the gem in the trading post screen.

What does that have to do with what OP asked?

People are able to bid on items that are not sold yet, or will never be sold.

Just like people bid 600g on a pear, that will never happen because every pear is account bound.
People just do it to show of their money.

But it is not only the bid price. It is also the sell price. That is why i find it strange.

Well that means it is in the game and people have the item. :)
I'd think those name contracts come out of black lion chests.

If you know the trade ID of the item (different from actual item id seen in gw2db/spidy) and are able to get some variables from game which would enable you to 'fully' use trading post outside of game, theoretically you will be able to post buy order or buy directly item even though it's account bound.

Actually selling soulbound material i believe would require some hardcore client modification - if possible at all. And if is possible, definitely is bannable material since this thing is absolutely impossible to do without modification.

Above i can't vouch for 100% since it comes from understanding how trading post works, but i haven't tried myself.

However i am not 100% sure if what you see here http://www.gw2spidy.com/item/35989 (this data is legit in the sense that it genuinely comes from anet servers) really represents that some people actually posted buy orders. It may be data errors coming from fact that theese items are soulbound.

And actually some data i saw on spidy supports the latter.
