-GVG (Guild Halls) Like the original concept.
-HA (Like the original please, nothing new and fancy)
-Alliance battles (not sure how they would implement them with no Kurzicks and Luxons)
-Droks city (and other cities that are back because they have been rebuilt)
-Going more north in the Shiverpeaks.
-Elite areas (you can call them raids, or something like The Deep or Urgoz)
-Legendary weapons visual update (make the less appealing legendaries up to par with the ones that have everything)
-Bring back Rits
-Obviously more areas.
-Overall just more small things that will be appreciated
EDIT:
I would absolutely love to see dungeons with unique weapons from end chests. Just like how it was in GW1, with BDS's and all those high end weapon skins that were exclusively from dungeon chests.

- New zones (including jumping puzzles)
- Improvements to Fractals, addition of new ascended gear.
- Ascended gear obtainable outside fractals.
- Addition of legendary pre-cursor scavenger hunt.
- Some dungeon rewards buff + some dungeon balances.
- Improvements of Southsun Cove Island
- Updates to sPvP, possibly new map, but more importantly: observer mode + custom games.
- Guildhalls, possibly with new PvP mode.
- Player housing added together with guild halls.
- WvW updates.
Improvement to fractals + ascended gear also because of some devs statement.
The scavenger hunt, some dev he was very actively working on it, but that it wouldn't be there for december update, the way he formulated it would imply it could be added now in january.
Dungeon rebalances because of dev statements.
Same with Southsun Cove, some dev stated they were defenitely working on improving that area, because it's pretty bland right now.
I'm pretty sure about a big PvP update because of the PvP blog released a month ago, where they said it wouldn't be for december but soon after that + we also know they're already working on those for a long time already.
Guildhalls (with possibly new PvP mode) + player housing is more of a guess, they stated they were already working on it before launch would mean they're working for it for over 6 months then, + it would fit in the "people will be amazed by the content that will be added" statement.
WvW updates are obvious because of Colins statement.
Stuff I would like to see added but are pure speculation:
- Elite area : UW & FoW
- LFG tool

1 Dungeon/party finder
2 Improvements to WVW mainly this is to remove the zerg balance and increase numbers and make siege
weapons more useful.
3 Magic find on one player to apply to the whole groups drops, in this way I hope the magic find build will become more acceptable on parties.
4 Legendaries with a wider appeal not just big spiky gothic 2h swords or pistols that look like toys.
5 More crafting options a mix and match design option could be good if possible, so I could choose from several sword hilt designs to add a blade from a choice of several add a crossguard and pommel etc.
I would really like complete freedom in designing an item though I realise this is an impossible dream.
I would also like to craft a weapon and set a level for it rather than find out the level after its created.
6 Fix the darn camera for jumping puzzles so I don't have to only do them with my Asura, what it needs is for whatever is behind me to fade out and become invisible, that way I can zoom out at any time and judge my position and next move.
Fading out the walls of building and cave walls has been a part of rpgs for years so why gw2 cannot have something similar is beyond me.

- Would love to have all the class bugs fixed.
- Underpowered weapons buffed
- Thief and Warrior burst nerfed, but have their glass cannon builds given a little more survivability. (aka: they don't kill you in two to five seconds, but don't get downed anytime the wind blows)
- Necros getting an actual burst build
- Wells made more useful.
- Well of Blood turned into a water field.
Legendaries that actual visually fit more than a handful of professions. In the end the only real point to legendaries is their aesthetics, and the caster ones suck hard if you aren't a mesmer. Bifrost is the worst offender, WTF would something named "bi" and "frost" shoot rainbows? Apart from the obvious bridge in Norse mythology, but why would you decide to name a staff after a mythical bridge? Who even thought a rainbow puking staff was even a great idea?

Really hope people don't actually believe we'll get anything like that much.
We're likely to get something like: a new mini zone, jumping puzzle, random more achievements and then 1 other aspect such as; the fractal improvements or the dungeon reward balance etc, as well as the usual skill updates.
Question, feedback or issue? Pm me!

Colin said "content worthy of an expansion", I'd hope they think an expansion is something more than what you say..
Or many people (including me) will be disappointed.

I would like them to put in armor or weapon sets specific to the zones, so that zones like Firehear Rise, Iron Marches, Fields of Ruin, etc don't become empty and avoided by players.
I would like them to redesigne Risen mobs and Orr maps, at their current state, I really really don't like playing there, I only go there to farm items, I do not enjoy playing there.
I would like them to decrease rewards you get in fractals, or increase rewards you get in PvE, dungeons and WvW... Currently most of the people are playing fractals because of the better farm.
I would like to see new mini games in each major town, currently they are empty which is shame since they are all really great looking cities...
Basicly I don't want new PvE maps, etc... I want them to improve existing content... A lot of maps are empty because players don't have what to to there, once they finish the map, most of them never return to them... That is not what I want or expected from GW2... I though dynamic scaling will give us opportunity to play in zones we want, this way only Orr is good becuase you get better loot drop..
Also new guild features are a must.

Pretty sure he said the January & February patches will together have "content worthy of an expansion", do keep that in mind if the January patch doesn't have as much as you may expect.
I just don't want to give people more reasons to whine about if January/February isn't what they've been "told".

I seriously hope that people rage if we don't get shitloads of content. Because one needs to be seriously dumb to set up the update as "expansion worth of content" and then not deliver on it.
Now clearly we shouldn't hope for new classes or races or skills, but I absolutely expect multiple areas, dungeons and a shitload of pretty.

Yeah well I think A-net have lost their credibility with things they randomly say in interviews, and can't be taken literally. Also what defines an expansion's worth of content for you, me, them etc will be different. Literally you could say that they would mean similar to Nightfall, which just won't happen. So already they're below what they would normally define, so the questions is, how much less will it actually be?
I really can't see it being a lot of new content, not in terms of pure new zones/dungeons (maybe 1 or some few Fractals etc) but I'd see it being a lot of the quality of life additions and balancing instead.
