  • Fix culling
  • WvW AoE adjustment
  • New class not stationed around weapon usage... for example Druid built around shape shifting and attacking as a creature
  • Put a bullet in ascended gear or raise all earned exotics to that level. Having another tier that requires running a dungeon was a poor choice.
  • New events that effect a server based on player participation and success. Right now events are just timers that have no effect. Take a cue from Asheron's Call and blow up a city on each server that isn't successful during a seasonal event.
  • Daily/Monthly achievements should be possible for dungeon running, PvE, PvP or WvW and frankly should be fun. They should not require having to play elements of the game a player doesn't care about. Getting rid of a grind is a GW2 selling point yet here I am chopping wood and running dungeons two things I don't care to do.
  • Guild/Player housing would be nice

Oh and since Jormag spawn times are twice as long and he takes twice as long to kill, how about kicking up the loot table a bit.  A few rares would be nice; can't remember when I got the last one from him.

Increase the drop rate of Lodestones.  Legendaries aside, just want a few Air Runes for my set w/o having to cough up 30 gold, which for casuals is a lot.

Remember when the Superior Vigor was over 100k in GW1? I don't think ANet did anything to change that back then either.

Agree with most of the OP mentioned. Would like to see a Darkness Falls equivalent dungeon tied to WvWvW. Epic mobs, loot, jumping puzzles, farming/gathering areas.

Would also like to see something geared towards >raiding< that either expands on dynamic events or something else. I know 5 man dungeons / DEs are supposed to fill that in but eh, would be cool to see a raid instance in GW2.

Fix the culling finally.

A way to save our "trait builds" so we can switch between them more easily.

I'd personally like to see things such as;
  • Player Housing
  • More activities with cosmetic rewards
  • Better storylines - Less Trahaerne
  • Cloaks implemented, but other clipping issues need to be prioritized
  • More racial storylines like the 1-20 experience - Less Trahaerne
  • Merged server populations into an "underflow" styled server to repopulate zones
  • More incentive to go back to a zone after 100% completion
  • Non-Automatic dungeon finder tool, like GW2lfg
  • More Jumping Puzzles
  • More Jumping Puzzles
  • Trahaerne being eaten by a dragon
  • Skill-based legendaries over the who-has-the-most-disposable-income Legendaries we have now
  • Tie Legendaries in with achievements rather than gambling for precursors in the Gambleforge.
  • Legendary armours, (Cultural hero, dragonslayer, etc)

I think having different ranks for WvWvW will be fun. For the commander system, there will be a highest ranking player that is decided by the people in the server or the "council members"(which will be discussed later) through voting who will be the one leading activites for the server in WvWvW. He then is accompanied with 5-11 council members that has powers in par with the highest ranking player if combined, but individually they are 2nd in power and will appear in the WvWvW as icons to lead when the Highest ranking player isn't available. This council members will be chosen either through voting of the server or by identifying the most active guilds in WvWvW and having one of their guild leaders to be a representative to be a council member. The 2 powers can then promote other players to diff ranks in which they can appear as diff icons in WvWvW to lead. Ranks will be limited to a certain number and only by the agreement of the council members will there be promotion for a certain player; this will help prevent griefing.

Through this WvWvW will be more competitive and more organized, and that it will stimulate good community between diff guilds.

Also i want to see a dueling system :3

I would like for a complete overhaul of WvWvW. It's ridiculous that towers and even keeps change owners on an hourly basis in some tiers. It's retarded that you can field 10 players during the night and capture the entire zone. Sieges should be an epic experience and take much longer than what they do currently. The enemy team should definitely have quite some time to react to it too. I have seen entire maps be flipped in an hour. It's just stupid.

I would also like the WvWvW zones to be progression based. For example, to push the Keeps in an enemy BL a server should first have to secure the lowlands. It makes no sense that you can have small roaming groups of people who capture towers and camps around the enemy base when you own nothing else in the zone. This would also help consolidate the players on a map to a specific point, something that would make WvWvW battles much more balanced.

There needs to be a fifth tier of bases added to replace the sentries. Sentries serve absolutely no purpose. These bases are the only ones who can be captured without progressing through the zone, and take the form of a small watchtower something like this:

These would require 2-5 people to capture (kind of like supply camps at the moment), and will 1) increase the importance of small strike teams since the other stuff is beefed up, and 2) make it easier for these strike teams to then for example ravage a supply line in preparation for a siege.

Which brings me to my last point. Supply needs to play a much more important role in the game. A siege without supply is not going to be successful at all, and likewise I want the defense of a keep to be hard if your supplies are drained. Supplies in a keep should also have an attrition mechanic, so that interrupting supply trains are still very important even after a Keep is upgraded.

I would love the mechanic you propose, about people needing to push further, instead of just capping randomly.

And maybe upgraded keeps/towers could slowly lose their upgraded defences when they don't have acces to supply. This would make supply more important for defenders.

single server gameplay - everybody can meet everybody;
no lag;
players in towns are now visible when there are more of them;
some sort of guild sense of belonging; they might even get a hint from the now Google wide famous drawing made by Baktwerel;
a few mounts;
no more teleporting;
a little originality in quests.

That's all, i don't ask much, i'm not a monster.

I'd like to second this. ^^
(Isn't the WvW patch in Febuary though?)
I'd also like to see:
A High-Level zone that's further north in the Shiverpeaks, full of elite areas and world events, some more mini-dungeons spread throughout low-levels ( I really love those.) And some more "epic" events (Shatterer, Sunless, etc...) for all levels. Guild Airships, which act as Guild Halls at first, but will be brought to WvW in a couple months. (Actually, let's just make this Airship Wars 2.)

What I would like to see is a few more awesome meta-event chains and maps like the Harathi Highlands event chain that takes place in the northeast quadrant there.

It is so good it is one of the few DE/meta-events that almost always have groups of players there 24/7.

I must have done it tons of times, yet that first 5 minutes where you storm the centaur camp is like being in a top notch action movie and I always enjoy it.

It is really great, at least untill the chest drops, everything after that falls apart because so many people leave at that point, while a few stick around hoping to end it and restart the cycle.

It is head and shoulders above the other meta-event chains in the game, I wish there were more like it.

In a future new expansion i would like to see:
  • New skills
  • New weapons
  • New armors
  • New classes

In a future patch i would like to see:
  • Guild Halls
  • Buffs to un-used skills NOT nerf to used ones
  • End Dungeon chests with chance to drop exotics of that dungeon and/or as much tokens as gained from the run
  • A party search function like in GW1

Well I'd only want two things currently.

1) an Overhaul of WvWvW (really interesting ideas were presented before)
2) an Overhaul of Orr. On the minor side simply so people go back to it, the place is deader than Zhaiten (on my server at least) after a successful dungeon run. On the major side overhaul it so that it becomes what it is described as in game.. a real campaign against Zhaiten something. Tossing an idea out of maybe a kin to a PvE version of WvWvW.

Most of what I want updated is simply patching the game into what it was supposed to be released as, and a few extras:

- Add the Activities/Minigames that apparently got abandoned, with scoreboards and rewards (Like competitive missions in GW1). Especially Polymock, I want some damn polymock.
- DUELING. For *s sake, dueling. We can do costume brawl but not dueling? Please.
- PvP overhaul. Some sort of incentive to play PvP, more game modes, more rewards, spectator mode, maybe something you can sell (A la Zaishen Keys).
- Bug squishing, namely trait, rune and sigil bugs that have been ignored for way too long.
- Better drop rates, Explorable Mode dungeon chests (and/or bosses themselves) should always drop at least one rare. I'd also like to see the dungeon set armor and weapons be added to the drop tables of that particular explorable dungeon.
- More skimpy armor, and especially more medium armor options for levels 1-79. At least some dungeon set armor that doesn't look like I'm wrapped in a burqa, ashamed of myself.
- Guild alliances, Guild halls, and Guild activities.
- Some sort of usable LFG tool, especially for FotM.
- /roll 1-100, I really can't believe this isn't in. It's simple and useful in many situations.
- Player to Player trading. Again, an overwhelmingly simple staple of modern MMOs that has been left out in the interest of forcing everyone to use the TP for everything or risk being screwed by anyone.
- Complete removal of the RNG Chests to get anything other than the most basic boosters and dyes. Any time someone wants to put an over-hyped item in a chest at a .001% drop rate and not include it in the gem shop on it's own gets filmed being jabbed in the eye with a spork and uploaded to youtube.

I know most of this won't happen though, the January patch will likely involve reorganizing a few tower positions in WvW, adding more Fractals and ascended gear, and nerfing thieves and Necros. Then there will be a crazy cool legendary ubersword added to the BLCs at a .000004% droprate to commemorate the Chinese New Year or something similar.

Edit: Also, I want /guitar and /drums!

GUESTING! WTF happened to GUESTING!! no one has said it! I definitely want Guesting when Anet said they were going to implement it last November! What the crap happened to doing that? They don't do it and stay quiet all this time. Has there been any communication about this?

-Guesting
-Player Housing
-Guild Halls
-Direct Player Trade System
-Trait template saving system
-Graphics Engine Optimization (I have a Nvidia 690, Intel i7, & 24GB Memory - only get ~50-70 FPS)
-Legendary Armor
-Scavenger hunt to obtain Precursors
-More large DEs with dragon bosses
-Alliances
-More utility/elite skills added for all classes
-Dueling system
-Grouping tool / Dungeon party search
-More endgame content / Zones / DEs (obviously everyone will want these)
....
I may add a few more as I think of anything else.

Totally agree with this, these would be excellent changes that would help WvW a lot.
Only thing I would add is maybe a mechanic where if you capture all surrounding "sentry replacing" 5th tier bases, it then gives access to attacking a base that is too deep in enemy territory for you to regularly attack. This would give the enemy a real reason to defend these points, while maintaining the idea of progressive conquest through the map.
For example; an enemy tower that is too deep in enemy territory for you to be aloud to attack, has 3 "sentry" bases around it, capturing the 3 would then allow you to attack the tower even though you haven't otherwise progressed to it yet.

in terms of general PVE:

1. built in dungeon/grouping tool like gw2lfg / gw1
2. please please have the option to seperate "Use/Grab" from "Revive"
lots of times died ressing a nearby npc instead of a teammate / can't get a crystal
since it will revive instead. in the heat of the battle, its really annoying.
3. having a grindable, non-random option to get legendary requirements such as precursors.
like the way they implemented the 10 pristine fractal relics in FotM. even though anet said
that precursors prices will drop, they have gone back again with a vengeance.
(previous one i needed was 110g, now its even more higher at 360g)
for only weekend warriors, with not a lot of time to actually play during weekdays,
finding it impossible to catch up with the increasing prices. and yes, that's already
counting doing the MF, quick daily ori runs, quick daily frac run, ect.
4. dyes being account bound
5. for guilds, bring back the alliance system AND the 'counter' for the last time played
for guild members. when your guild has already reached the max 500 limit, its hard
to figure out which inactive players to kick, especially when members come from different
timezones. was much easier to kick in gw1 where it shows when were all the members
last active.

****************************

6. it may not be so obvious now, but gw2 *REALLY* need to start addressing server
population decline. compared to previous months, fewer and fewer people are going now
to dynamic events in CS, moreso in lower level areas.

in gw1, it wasn't a problem due to the nature of dynamic 'districts' popping up for every
outpost whenever they needed to. also, completion of certain events/ bosses in the field
or lower level areas weren't a problem for soloists since you can hire henchmen / heroes.

not the case with gw2. started noticing it with difficulty gathering enough people for certain events
like opening up balth, or just even finding an overflow instance so your party can do FotM together.

sooner or later, anet will be left with sparsely-populated servers, and having no way to dynamically
link the active population together will be a problem.

****************************

7. as said before, more skill split between pve-pvp. buffing unused skills in pve,
rather than nerfing used ones as much.

.

Personally hoping for :
  • Dungeon finder.
  • Bigger group sizes for WvW.
  • Removal or improvement of magic find.
  • More legendaries/less good legendaries redesigned.
  • One or two more maps
  • One or two more dungeons.
  • At least one more jumping puzzle.
  • Many crafting improvements.
    more guild things

I don't really care for jumping puzzles... Because there are plenty of platforming games that are far more entertaining and enjoyable than jumping in Guild Wars 2.

With WvW, I think they should focus on fixing the "maximum drawable players on screen" (or "culling") issue first.

Also, after Lost Shores... I don't think having "extra maps" is all that fantastic.  I completed both jumping puzzles in the first weekend.  They also added new crafting materials, but primarily for the infusions that are absurdly grindy and expensive.  (I seem to recall a recent update increasing drop rate of passion flowers... which I'd never seen one before said update.)

I'll agree that they should do something to "fix" the magic find mechanic.  Diablo 3 did this with paragon levels (granting inherent Magic Find) and a MF cap.

And I'd also very much like a party/dungeon finder too... Even something as simple as existed in the original Guild Wars would suffice.  However, I'm expecting to be reliant upon gw2lfg.com for some time longer (seeing as it's going to take them until the end of January to fix the current issues with the Fractals)

What I think might be probable:
  • Tengu - as they were supposedly a planned race.  They could also introduce Canthan New Year to Guild Wars 2.  (Although, there's probably still a few Canthans in Lion's Arch that could do the same.)
  • Reasons this seems likely: A new race might get people to create new alts (and thus purchase new character slots)
  • New maps, dungeons, and fractals.
  • I'm expecting any dungeons to be more along the lines of Fractal content than the original dungeons.
  • I'm hoping that the maps have something interesting to them... like cool group events with decent rewards.  (Perhaps a possibility of a precursor)

So as I stated earlier, there's nothing huge in terms of added content and the "expansion" sized patches relate to quality of life and as the dev says: "features that will be rolled out across PvE, WvW, and PvP".

Good to have some clarity.

Fix fractals, 2h Axe (doubt they will add this until an expansion), LFG system. What I think would be cool is if every couple of months they took out all of the current dynamic events (except a few like the big boss events, shatterer, shadow behemoth) and changed them to new ones so the world does feel a bit more dynamic. Would also love to see more big boss monsters.

This isn't WoW, gtfo with this nonsense.

Also anyone worried about dueling, we'll be able to do all that good stuff in the Custom Arenas they will be adding.

They really need to fix WvW.

What we don't need is new skill tiers or a new level cap.  That is absurd and very much so unneeded.

Also those worried about a new race, Tengu will be that race..  You get hints around the game.  For instance the giant closed gate guarded by Tengu will tell you they don't let anyone threw and they are now looking to figure out who to ally with and fight againt.

Also WvW does NOT need a dungeon in it.  All that will mean is more PvEers will be trying to get into WvW thus making Q times for people who ACTUALLY want to WvW.  Tying in more PvE to WvW isn't the answer.
