Something similar to Nicholas the Traveler in GW1, so players have some incentive to go back to lower lvl maps. (and with this add more rare rewards and skins)

GUESTING!!! please I'm waiting this since the game release... And maybe if possible an option that makes you go to the highest population server for the map you're going. I want to see people arround!!! and help kill champions that no-one cares about.

Dungeon finder tool, but only after guesting is implemented.

I would like an alternetive way to get precurssors, something like the Black Moa mini pet in Gw1, where you needed to get materials around the world to make it.

Some variation to dailys, like monthlys. Maybe adding some specific mob tipe to kill...

I think that's it. I don't really want new maps and armor and items, without these things. I stopped playing fractals because 50% of the times we fail, because of DC's or stupid things like that. So no point to adding new maps without changing this stuff.

Yep i'm pretty sure of that, but to be honest people will get bored off the gamble all the time and stop buying gems add some point, then they are crying all the way to the bank. Cant wait for that to happen.

Crafting needs an overhaul, badly.

Party finder... this is an almost necessary core element that for some reason was completely overlooked...

Further adjust loot pools to player level so that Orr isn't the only place that level 80s go to farm mobs. Liven up lower level areas a bit, please. I would be a bit disappointed if they added new maps and didn't attend to the underlying problem of nobody populating current low level maps because there's no reason to.

Enable player-to-player trading. Again, another fundamental element of the MMO that somehow never made it here. (Sorry, but the 10-15% gold sink of the TP isn't reason enough not to have a trading system...)

No new fractals. The first few were great, until I had to grind and experience the same ones over and over til they became stale and boring. I don't want to experience this again for a while. I would recommend using the concepts behind a lot of the fractals we have (which are innovative and immersive) and apply them to something not as... repetitive...

Some class-specific armor would be nice.

Minor wall of text, read at your own risk: Anet jumped into microtransactions too fast and dealt a substantial blow to a relatively young game in that every update includes some black lion trade co. gimmick. This projects an image as being too focused on their bottom line. It would be good to have a major content update that doesn't include their RMT system in any way. I would even go so far as to say that they would do well to introduce more in-game ways of acquiring stuff like black lion keys, boosters, and mystic forge stones to convey that they want us to play the game, not buy more stuff. A company doesn't necessarily have to try to capitalize on every event they do to profit in the long-run.

Ok.
  • It's easy to max, not a pain compared to other MMO's

  • It's a very easy way to get max gear with the stats you want.

  • It provides you with the best buffs (cooking, runes, sigils)

  • For me personally it's my biggest source of income.
  • It provides experience for levelling.
I honestly don't see why it needs overhaul, but I'm curious to hear your story. :)

Only things i really want are better looking armor. Some of these armors rly put me off and its a tough job finding a combo that's perfect. What i'd like most are pants, regular pants, for casters and less trenchcoats and buttskirts for medium classes, give us some choice.

If you watched the ending cinematic for the personal story you would know that the fate of the Risen are not bound to Zhaitan (i.e. that if he dies, they die...again). It's even stated that the heroes of Tyria still have an armada of Risen that need to be destroyed, hence why Orr is still full of Risen.

I'm sure I have killed at least 3 armada's worth of Risen by now.

Personally hoping for :
  • Dungeon finder.
  • Bigger group sizes for WvW.
  • Removal or improvement of magic find.
  • More legendaries/less good legendaries redesigned.
  • One or two more maps
  • One or two more dungeons.
  • At least one more jumping puzzle.
  • Many crafting improvements.
    more guild things

I really hope they don't add a Dungeon Finder, I understand its easier than doing a LFG spam on map chat however I felt it really dampened the experience in WotLK and I feel it'll do the same here.

I dunno, its an odd situation for me because it IS more handy and less time wasting on finding a group but something about DF just made the whole experience feel even more like a chore and made me even more lazy when it came to the game (in this case it was WoW)

There really won't be an expansion worth of content. That would mean they would add like 10+ whole areas, a new race and profession, more weapon sets etc.
Though I'm not playing the game currently, I'd like to see:
-Improvements and fixes to existing open world content (give people more reasons to do stuff in the open world, add more challenging content).
-Improvements and fixes to existing dungeons (turn a lot of the boring encounters into fun encounters by giving mobs/bosses more abilities, and slightly cut their HP).
-Legendary scavenger hunt (non-RNG-based please)
-More armour/clothes/weapons.
-Dyeable weapons.
-No gambling.

Development of Home Instances:

- Give us content that leads to a meaningful reason to visit home instances.

- Character development of so called "important" persons in our personal story, i.e. expanded dialogue, interaction, romance, meal/party time, dynamic quests (like hunting with story npc or doing charitable acts for the town).

- Follower system for Home Instance NPC's much like that of mini pets, good company on your quests with no impact on combat. For example it would be awesome if I could travel with my human sister (Deborah) and have her cycle interesting/entertaining dialogue and maybe even pretend to engage in combat (with no actual damage being dealt).

- Player home, maybe even a monopoly for your home instance area?

- Awesome monuments for my awesomeness (like the statue that's resurrected for you in Bruma after the campaign of Oblivion).

- More opportunities for roleplaying.

Aside from that.... I really want Tengu playable race please :)

I wouldn't mind seeing a LFG tool but they need to make running with guildies meaningful.  Like LFG dungeon runs give blue as the highest rarity of item drop except for the end boss.  Then they could give full guild groups a good chance of rares from bosses and a slight chance of exotics from the end bosses, even an alternate set of Guild Dungeon Tokens that could be used for alt gear from dungeons would be nice.

Ok, ok... we might get a new Fractal map too...

Maybe even a new tower in WvW :o

OT: Id like to see a heck of a lot more variety in terms of dungeons, more encounters that require a thoughful approach rather than a nuke and dodge one mechanic style which we see so often :P

I fail to understand why guilds would be better rewarded for same content as pug teams..?

- The ability to change traits on the spot (I don't mind the fee)
- Improved targeting
- Preview on TP
- Accountbound dyes
- Dungeon finder
- Culling/Stealth fixes
- Engineer/Ranger buffs ;__;
- Removal of magic find
- Removal of Raid on the Capricorn
- New PvP modes
- Guild Halls/Battles
- Karma made useful (for people who don't care about legendaries)

I'm almost sure none of these will happen, but hey, a man can dream.

I do understand it, at least in my opinion:
  • crafting is far too easy, getting 400 is hardly an accomplishment
  • because of that it's not anything you can really specialize in, "no hard to get" unique recipes
  • crafting exotics don't give xp or progress because you can only do it after you reached 400
In other games, making stuff is more or less a real craftsmanship thing. People come to you because you can do rare or unique stuff. It creates a "role play" thing. Look at EVE, where people play the game solely to manufacture and sell stuff. But I guess GW2's crafting system is already beyond saving.

People just like options to be different from the rest and have their own special role or function. If everyone can do everything and no-one needs each other, it all becomes a rather grey and shallow "single playerish" identity-less experience.

And if only a few people can make stuff because of the high time-cost (how it mostly works in MMO's) than those people get a monopoly and the poor people pay the price because they can't craft it themself.
I only see a system like that work when everything you can craft is also obtainable outside of crafting (think runescape way).

There are recipes that are BoP, and that can craft special stuff, but I agree they should've expanded on this.

And for the record, I'm currently studying for exams, and last 3 weeks and the coming 5 weeks, the only thing I do when I log in, is buying mats, crafting and selling items again.
It's not only a EvE thing. :)

In most games (not just WoW) you have guild crafters. Crafting in most MMO games just requires more dedication and most people decide not to take it on. Which is actually fine - as other people more than happy to jump into the gap.

What I actually liked in EVE (I hate a lot of other things though) is that the game offers options to specialize. You don't have just "fighters", like in most MMO's like GW2. There's also transporters, crafters, miners - characters that often can't really even efficiently fly a cruiser.

I just love that aspect; it gives a game a realistic, living, breathing community feel.

Duels, I would rlly like to be able to duel with other people!
Something like random arenas (I know its from guild wars 1 but I think it would be a great addition to gw2 and more people will keep playing the game)

Bring back alliances or some kind of form of it. Multi guild is stupid.

I want them to fix my client from crashing when I'm in Fractals.

Get rid of the Risen.

Add preview window for trading post so I can buy things off there.

Tone down the NPC banter in Divinity's Reach so I'm not hearing the same person yell "Hey, hey, heeeey!" eight times in a row.

Make superior runes of holding a little cheaper. Eight more gold for two more extra slots than the eighteen slot version confuses me.

Give me a reason to visit Southsun Cove.

Fix my engineer's turret ground-targeting trait so it works in PvE.

I don't think I am asking for much.

- Add more Ascended Gear as rewards for other Dungoens.
- Dualspec
- Dungeon-remake / Hardmode with better rewards
- Guildhalls
- Duels
- Alliances
- More content / activities for other cities
and a lot more :D

Well lets see you won't ever get a LFG seeing as ANet themselves linked people to gw2lfg.com

Crafting won't see a change. Too big and costly and not worth it. The 'casual' folks who want their cake and eat it too have to be able to obtain it easily. Its also the new speed level to 80. Blow 20 gold and 6 hours and voila you're level 80. Besides there's plenty of higher up forge recipes that have plenty of margin to make money on. You just have to hunt for them, and have the gold to front.

Removal of anything existing is a wish that's not coming either.

So that leaves...

I'd just like a reason to play tPvP. You know GvG. Something like HA. New game modes. etc. I'm not picky. Give me one to start with.

I'm plenty occupied with slowly making my way through all the small PvE gems like mini-dungeons and jumping puzzles and getting every character decked out.

I agree with you that playing PVP is incentive enough, at  least for me, but it's VERY hard to get tPVP matches going now because of a severe lack of players now. So if they add some incentive to lure OTHER players to play it, I'd be happy.
