I agree with you that playing PVP is incentive enough, at  least for me, but it's VERY hard to get tPVP matches going now because of a severe lack of players now. So if they add some incentive to lure OTHER players to play it, I'd be happy.

That's true, but the tourny ticket requirement also filters alot of people from it.

Personally hoping for :
  • Dungeon finder.
  • Bigger group sizes for WvW.
  • Removal or improvement of magic find.
  • More legendaries/less good legendaries redesigned.
  • One or two more maps
  • One or two more dungeons.
  • At least one more jumping puzzle.
  • Many crafting improvements.
    more guild things
I agree with most of what you said; however, I would also like to see:  player housing, a decrease in waypoint fees, increase in drop rate and player trading

Yeah don't get me started on the other problems with tPVP right now. I was so excited for the PVP in this game, all I played was PVP in the beta weekends and stress tests but little has improved since then.

1. less bugs
2. less elitism, approved by anet by using insane amounts of stuff that only drops once per 3-4 months (just to craft simple items!)
3. less bugs
4. less bugs
5. less bugs

What would I like to see? well, something like I posted a while ago: http://www.guildwars...o-fix-gw2s-pve/ :P

(Pretty big changes to open world PvE focused on bringing people back into the world and giving it replayability)

But I doubt any of that is happening. It's not the direction anet seems to be taking their game.

  • New Dungeons (also more fractals) pre-sunken Arah fractal(!)
  • Existing dungeons spiced up
  • More region-specific loot (like in gw1)
  • return of the "Unidentified" gear-drop system and expert salvage kits. Keep dreaming
  • Scavenger hunt for precursors & new legendaries
  • New canthan-themed maps
  • New armor and weapon skins
  • Less RNG overall

Edit: At least 2 More Elite Skills /profession.

Hoping Anet gets a grip on reality and admits failure... Not like Wv3 or sPvP is going anywhere anytime soon, and who cares about PvE.(Rhetorical for all the failures that would actually answer it)

P.S. Maybe you all could hope for fixes and working content before requesting something new. lol

The ability to use legendaries in PvP, unless you can already do that (I dont play pvp alot), because legendaries and pvp are pretty big chunks of the 'end game' so why not have them together?

What I'm hoping for, but will be too much for the devs to handle:

- Class skill/trait bug fixes
- Making engineer more viable for PvE
- Improve ranger support skills
- Less emphasis on underwater skill buffs and stealth nerfs to unpopular classes

1) Smart class balance.

2) Guild halls.

3) GvG

4) PvE bug fixes/ quality of life improvements.

This would probably qualify as an expansion worth of content for an update, considering GvG would have to be completely reinvented, given the style of gw2 combat is much different to gw1. Also creating a dozen guild halls and its battle ground is a lot of content in itself.

I can only hope i suppose.. :)

an actual guild function

buffs aside, guilds do nothing, if anyone has played Final Fantasy 11, linkshells come to mind.

Of course, I'm a huge proponent for Guild Halls and other guild additions, but one step at a time...

henchmen/ heroes would make zones/dungeons (with no LFD tools) alot easier for ppl who play at odd times and not on a FOTM server and no not fractals

1) LFG tool (a better one)

2) Renown hearts to reward twice as much exp. It seems completely useless to do them as it is right now. It's just not worth it. It needs to feel more REWARDING

A reason for me to believe ANet actually wants more people to start playing this game and not solely caring/hand-feeding those who have played since Beta Test 1.

Oh yeah, and a dungeon that involves Demonic Vegetables/Fruit.

I guess crystal desert, the dominion of winds, GvG, new WvWvW map, dungeon finder.. but these are all minor content updates.

What I really want is HUNGER ROYALE

Bring back alliances or some kind of form of it. Multi guild is stupid..

Get rid of the Risen.

Add preview window for trading post so I can buy things off there.

They need to go, especially risens.

Something I think would an idea is WvW legendaries they should not be easy to get or be a reward for something like killing 1000 players.
They should be a reward for completing a large set of achievements with most being relatively easy but some being a bit more tricky.
They should not be designed to as a reward for playing WvW and not for grinding.

In general I think there should be more unique ways to get legendaries.

A couple balance updates and A LOT of bug fixes please...

GvG/ Guild Halls/ Some kind of guild interaction.

Culling issues so people stop complaining about the perma-stealth.

1. Bug Fixes (Most important, as many classes do have broken traits/skills.)
2. More reasons to get out of Fractals and visit the beautiful world they created (and other dungeons they created.)

  • Class Balancing: Major Class Balancing
  • Bug Fixes
  • More armor and weapon sets, there are very few in this game, even for being new.
  • More "skins" in the gem store that apply to actual armor rather than town clothes.
  • More store goods that are NOT RNG. Including stuff you can only find in mystic chest, only maybe have those be pricier items so that people are still encouraged to maybe try their luck.
  • Dungeon Finder
  • A dye pack that unlocks all dyes for that one character, and have it be pricey item.

I want a system like the combat rating in DCUO. That if you dont have enough points you cant enter difficult dungeons such as EXP dungeons or Fractals. For example good gear and a specific minimum amount of certain stat.

I would like Sylvari armor of sPvP, the guild Logos to be verified (my guild logo duplicates and horizontally get together forming a different shape damaging the logo)

- Something that make people be more social, speak to each others in normal chat, more social, not only inside guilds. <--

If you don't like it now then I'm pretty sure one update won't motivate you enough to go back to it.

I hope they focus mainly on PvP (since it was named a pvp focused update) and don't get side tracked with PvE.
My 'wishful-thinking' list, ranked with respect to importance:
  • CUSTOM ARENAS (seriously this should have been implemented in the beta)
  • Observer mode
  • Ranking system
  • GvG
  • Bug fixes
  • Changes to Invulnerability, quickness and Stealth
    - Like being able to see cloaked players within a cone infront of you (or something of that nature)
    - Decrease quickness' buff, or remove entirely
    - Invulnerability reduced to a percentage, like 75% or something like that
  • Additional balances (ele bunkers, guardian bunkers, necro res, possibly energy mods, etc)
  • Lower tournament entry (queues are way too long)
  • I don't know if a few new skills are out of the question?
My 2 cents

They stated multiple times that Jan and Feb updates would be much bigger compared to the Fractal one, and talked about a complete rework of WvW: maps, progression and mechanics.

I for one don't want "new content" but depth to the content we already have: expand on traits/skills/weapons, give more depth to WvW/sPvP and more variety/depth to PvE.

Good point. One of the best things they did in GW1 was remove the respec system and just allowed people to play what they want and change their mind whenever. It really suprised me when they went back on one of the things that made GW different and refreshing. Back to the same old MMO formula that every other MMO does. A pointless mechanic designed to annoy the players, the very thing GW2 was meant to blow away. They really should remove this stuffy MMO cobweb.

But you needed to be in a town to change skills and secondary profession, isn't that almost the same as going back to town to respec?

Not to mention every skill after the 10th one or so costed 1k, that's a whole lot more than our 3s for a full respec + free skills.
