Currently we are looking to boost the activity level all round for SBI.  If you are in Tier 1 and are on an opposite server, you may have found that there has been a decline of WvW activity from our neck of the woods for the last month or so.  I would like to see if we can liven things up a bit and get some extra numbers in all timezones out there.

Consolidation of coverage:
There  have been inner workings that are slowly but surely going back in a more positive direction.  One of these items is simply using a calendar to get the overall guild schedule down.  We are not looking to burn all WvW guilds out, we are just looking to see when a team intends on being available for coverage.  They don't even have to sign up on a specific map, just the time/day is fine enough.

The current weakest times are EU and Oceanic.  Currently we are seeking teams in all timezones to liven up competition for all servers and provide a higher grade of entertainment for everyone all round.  Without each other populating our servers properly we will not be able to entertain each other.  Without being able to kill some of you out there would take all the fun out of the game.

SF is willing to invest in SBI's future

In an effort to help recruitment the SF treasury will support EU or Oceanic guilds of considerable size and determination who are willing to xfer to SBI. We will buy enough influence for them to rank up their guild on SBI pending an evaluation period where we can ascertain their commitment to and effect on SBI WvW.

If you stumble across a viable guild candidate put them in touch with Hoschi or Jedbacca to discuss.  If holding your guild back from transferring is due to the need to level up your guild, we will do the best we can to assist in that department.

We have members farming up in dungeons to support the community and selling everything they earn in WvW and putting it toward siege or community building.

Strategies:
Per the norm we have guilds working together to always reverse engineer strategies utilized against us.  As a Tier 1 server for so long we have seen a lot of interesting tactics utilized against us and have been successful at countering by reverse engineering.  Our server enjoys high end tactics being utilized and being utilized against us.

Communication:
The main source of communication is our forums.  A lot of our guilds are willing to work with each other on multiple voice comms and we do have a public voice comm as a centralized means of communication that is utilized on an 'as needed' basis.

Education:
We have a multitude of teams that are very open to assisting with players that are newer to WvW.  As a GM myself I have taken plenty of players that have not stepped foot on a WvW BL and now screams at the screen shouting profanities as of someone stole his cookie dough running to kill pixels on a screen.

Community:
For the most part everyone is laid back.  We frown upon exploiting, even to the point of advising commanders on other servers to assist us in reporting the bad apple.  We are willing to work with other servers to keep our streets clean and safe from crime.  I personally love the community and am willing to work with as many members of the community as possible.  Everyone is very generous and are willing to go to bat for those guilds that cannot afford comm tags that are proven good leaders out there and bring each other up as a community.  The communities focus is to mainly play for fun, yet get serious when we want to as well.

Let me just put my 2c in here, and say first that I am not an SBI member but an opponent of theirs. In the 5 weeks we have played against them we have seen them improve, evolve, and advance steadily. This however was done while maintaining a firm stance or honor and integrity. If you are shopping for a new place to call home, you have found it.

Leaders like jedbacca, covergirl, vihar, and many others will show you wvw like you have never seen before! Give them a chance and you won't be disappointed.

Agreed. SBI is a great opponent and would make a fine home for anyone looking for an honorable and dedicated WvW server.

I have got to say the only bad thing about SBI is they have alot of jerks camp jumping puzzles of other servers for long periods of time and the entrance to the eternal battlegrounds puzzle.

As a whole they are good competition but have a few bad apples like most servers.

We have jump puzzles? I can't jump my guildies are open about that and I am as well if I'm in a jump puzzle I'm getting ported simple as that. And back on subject sbi has some of the most tenacious fighters out there and play the game the right way. While I may be jq and we do have a rivalry I will be sad to see them drop a tier because they are only lacking coverage not skill.

I've never done it, but IMO jumping puzzles SHOULD be camped.

   They give badges and free blueprints at a rate that far exceeds any PVP actions.

   If you want PVP stuff, you must risk PVP happening.

SBI has had a very strong and talented group of WvWers since the BWE's when they first became Jade Quarry's favorite rivals.   We were the casual lose confederate of DAoC/WAR guilds and they were the home of some of the more competitive gaming clans like those from GW.  It was a match made in heaven of different play-styles and we love going at each other hard and furious.  They've still got all the heart and soul of a top tier world and could be right back in the thick of things with a few more dedicated guilds.  If your clan is considering a move into the most competitive tier I don't think you can go wrong with SBI.  Here's hoping WM comes home soon, we really love battling those guys.

I agree with Vihar, the WvW jump puzzles should be camped and being on either side of that fight can be some seriously good times.  We on JQ seem to have a slight aversion to siege for some reason so I don't see us setting up for long haul in the JP very often, something SBI has always excelled at but we still like to have fun in there.

I've only ever been in a jumping puzzle once, when we did it as a guild to try and get some siege.

   We saw a few JQ guys and bounced around like Qbert....got him.

  We never completed the JP...we hate jumping puzzles and we suck at them. We hate people that DO jumping puzzles. Just sayin.

We've got anything and everything you could want as a server, grouping for dungeons is never an issue, neither is doing any of the DE's or temples. And WvW? Forget about it. You never played it? get in touch with one of us and you'll have a guided tour of everything this server has to offer in WvW. Tactics, how to's. You have played it? Awesome, hop on and we would love to include you and listen to what you have to say! We are open as far as learning new tactics and listening to each other and look at the server and other guilds as family. We try our hardest to make SBI to feel nothing short but a family, where you WANT to come and play and help out just because it's fun and you want to help your server!

Thanks Kreen, we were able to work with a team that has had limited exposure to WvW last night, got to run around the JQ BL taking a tour of the facilities.  I was able to work with a commander from a team that had limited exposure to WvW last night, kinda gave him a few pointers and their team what they want to keep track of to help out.  Just the basics in general and they were a really good group of people that paid attention to detail and absorbed instruction like a sponge.

(note: these pictures were all taken with a mixture of random guilds, just basically pugs, and we did pretty well this morning, you guys made me proud )

We do lack coverage however, and that's why were trying to recruit to stay on top, this server works well together, has organization, a sense of humor, a sense of community and most of us, if not everyone, love to world vs world anytime we can, so if you're interested in moving here even if to try it out, give it a shot, i'm sure you'll like it =)

SBI is a great server for anyone looking to transfer. Personally, I'd prefer you come to JQ, but if not JQ then SBI is probably your best bet. They are a fine group of slappers with corporate credit cards and meat grinders who don't know when to quit. They drink tequila all day long in the sun until their skin turns golden brown and their brains are soft like sponges. I wrote a song for them but I forgot the lyrics.
