Exactly same I have been following Chullster's "Mace in the Face" Build and have to say it's really nice and smooth to solo with and give out any boons to others around me in events.all I have done is swapped out the staff for a GS and changed the Mace Damage trait to Purity.

(the trait renewed justice is insanely good, especially when in combo with altruistic healing & inspired virtue)
Depending on the traits I chose to fill & the gear I chose I can fill pretty much any role moderately- extremely well.
Generally speaking though I use a shout build with rune of the soldier while in a group though, I round it out with mostly knights gear & a couple berserker's pieces & food that adds vitality & power/precision. (2 traits I al;ways keep with this build are AH & EM)
This ^ gives me a crapload of survivability and enough damage via power & crit to be a foe worth avoiding.
That being said when I'm solo or farming I swap out the shout build for a meditation build by simply changing what trait is selected then swapping my gear to an offset which consists of basically the same stats but rune of the pirate/noble instead.

Sadly this ^ is true, if you run into a guardian without one of those 2 traits then their an idiot as no other trait comes close & without them our survivability goes down hill quite a bit.

I too run 0/0/30/30/10
I find it fits with my playstyle (Melee Support), as well as weapon (Hammer). I tend to be close in most of the time so a larger symbol radius (Hammer auto creates a protection symbol), quicker shouts, quicker meditations, Altruistic Healing, and the Save Yourselves + Contemplation of Purity Combo makes sure that not only do my melee buddies stay in the fight longer, but I do as well to keep the support going.
And, of course, with just that set of traits I can run Consecrations, full Shouts, full Meditations, even Spirit weapons.
I can't deny I fully think that, in terms of flexibility and options given, this trait setup is the absolute best for a Guardian. But that;s me
