What is Know your Gurus, you may ask?

It's simple, twice a week, a different person will be in the spotlight. When that person is in the spotlight, you can ask them

ANYTHING YOU WANT, even non-gaming questions!*

Spoiler

After that person's turn, their KYG thread will be locked and a new one will be started, with a different person. That means that if you don't get to ask your question in the 3-4 days the member is in the spotlight, you'll have to....... well, find some other way to ask them.

What's the point of this segment, you may wonder? To put it simply, to get to know each other better. Feel free to ask crazy or unusual questions. Heck, ask complete nonsense questions (Why did the brick build a cheeseburger?) if you want, just to see their response.

Please note that just because you ask a question, it doesn't mean that the person in the spotlight has to answer it, but they DO need to reply to it, so expect something, even if it's just a "I will not answer that". Despite this restriction,

you can ask as many questions as you want, but try to keep them in only one post.

Keep in mind that others have questions to ask too, so don't go too overboard on the number. Keeping it short of a dozen is just common politeness.

Also important, you may not get into dicussions with other members than the spotlight member. This segment is only to get whoever is in the spotlight to be more well know. If you're wanting to ask someone else something, you'll either have to wait for their own spotlight, or ask some other way.

1. Do you think asking yourself a question is against the rules?
2. Will people think you lost your mind?

That nice indian guy was named after me. His parents liked my biscuits.

Real explanation:

It was a pun on a german comedy show ("What are Leibnitz Butterkekse called in india? Buddhakeks! *insert picture of a smiling buddha on a package of cookies*). Lame? Maybe, but I liked it. The next day I made a monk in GW1, who looked like the chinese buddha (sans the body weight) and called him Buddha Keks. I played a lot of PvP with that monk, and the members of my guild started calling me Buddha, even though one of the guild's rules was to use your real name, they could never remember it in tense matches, thus the nickname stuck. Since that day I use it everywhere, so if you see a BuddhaKeks or BuddhaKekz somewhere, it could be me.

1. I don't know, the mods have to decide.
2. Oh you, of course they wont, I'm so interesting, it's only natural even I want to ask me some questions. ;)

What color shorts am I wearing?

How does it feel to wake up every morning as BuddhaKeks? Do you brush your teeth with a bottle of jack like *fangirl voice* the most talented singer EVAR?

Are you German?

Well I'm starting to miss depth perception a little, but you know, ultimate wisdom and all. It's pretty neat.

Wait a moment.

Can someone silence this mangy wolf? He sounds like he is starting ragnarök already!

If you eat one, you can never go back to your old food. They are highly addictive. Also they make nice birthday presents.

1. Black, and no you can't see them. It would be like staring into the sun, only more fun.

2. Feels tasty.

3. I don't brush my teeth. My breath is supposed to be a weapon. Makes me feel like a dragon! Raaaawr!

4. Yes and no. My realm happens to be inside the political borders of that state, but foremost I'm palatinatian. That's the same thing, but with less beer and more wine. Much more wine in fact. Also archeological excavations everywhere!

1. They reflect the color of my soul.

2. Like everywhere, except people wear hats on their feet and hamburgers eat people. (+2 cookies if you know what I'm referencing)

The Simpsons, Rand McNally?

What inspired you to create what I assume to be a norn engineer? Peer pressure or are they truly that awesome?

Ding Ding Ding Ding Ding! Jackpot!

You earned yourself this

I decided to make a norn after playing through EotN in 2007. While my guild made a plan on who plays what race, so our 6 core members (which I happen to be part of) would consist of all races, I still picked the race I wanted. I'm too bullheaded for peer pressure. I picked engineer as a class as their playstyle seemed closest to the ritualist, my favorite gw1 profession. After playing it now, no they aren't that close, but I enjoy engi very much. So yes they are truly that awesome.

Btw the plan with the races didn't work out in the end, as no one picked charr as main, which I don't understand, they are almost as awesome as norn. Instead we have 2 humans and 2 asura.

Coo Buddhakeks

Whats your most favourite norn phrase?

If the shiverpeaks melted, you are running for dear life, out of your lodge, what one item would you bring?

along the way you meet with fellows Guru-ers whom have also ran from their home, who'd you choose to team up with in the long journey ahead knowing what they had taken went they left home. (i rephrase this question because the previous one sounded like i  think the person is helpless, and needed blah blah... sorry :P)

if there's a Guru gathering real life meeting kind of event, would you attend?

Oh my quagganese is a little rusty. *clears throat*

CoooOOOooo Pumpkin. I hope I didn't say something naughty.

1. Favorite Phrase: "Norn have no need of armies, we are Norn!" Sums up their whole badassery in one sentence.

2. My box full of trained servant monkeys. They are living beings, I can't let them die, and also I'm a very lazy man, so much in fact that I completey forgot how to do certain task without the aid of a bunch of monkeys. Last but not least, what could I laugh about when they are gone? Their butler suits are inexhaustible source of joy for me.

3. Why not you Pumpkin? You speak the quaggan language fluently, meaning you could convince them to give us shelter in their underwater kingdom. I wonder if I could train them to serve me...

4. Maybe. But I'm not a very social person, I would probably just stay near a wall, sipping my drink and try not to make eye contact with anyone. If someone still makes the effort of talking to me, they will soon recognize that I'm knowledgeable and entertaining, after the initial barrier of shyness is broken down.
