Who is waiting for this game? It should be out in 2014 and rumoured to use frostbite 2 engine. Bioware also says it is using some of skyrim's elements, which i hope it is not FETCH AND KILL QUESTS.

Given the fact we saw how badly dragon age 2 is done, i am not setting my hopes high on DA3. EA and bioware are not performing well lately. Too rushed, too many bugs and they are buying all those companies and producing crap quality games.

I'm personally not setting my hopes high either. After what they did with DA2 & ME3, I'm not holding too much hope that the game will be any good. It's quite sad for me, as the whole story and lore and world of DA was interesting to me (even if somewhat cliche).. but they really butchered things with DA2 IMO.

Frostbite 2 engine with Skyrim elements? So we'll have a 'pretty' 1st person action game with dull kill & fetch quest's and likely a lackluster storyline to go with it.... I think I'll wait till more information is released about the game before I get any kind of interest in it. The only information from the official site is.... sparse to say the least:

If it returns to the original fundaments I'm ok, but if it's more like the second game I'll totally pass on this.

Well they admitted that DA2 was a rush job. And even then I enjoyed a lot of parts to that game. I thought ME3 was great other than the ending. So as long as they don't rush the game then I'm definitely anticipating a good game.

Meh, I liked DA2 but it was waaaaaaaaay short and lacking any of the depth that DA:O had. ME3 kind of did the same thing. If they had kept some of the depth ME1 had and some of the improvements that ME2 had it would have been incredible. Instead we got ME2 part 2. Which is not a bad thing but it seemed like a total step back.

After seeing just how far Bioware have fallen after being acquired by EA I can't get too pumped up for any of their games any more.

I predict the game will be priced at the normal $60 and end after ten minutes with everyone in your party dying quicky. They'll roll the credits and roll out an expansion pack for $20 with 10 more minutes of story that show it was just a dream, rinse and repeat forever.

An RPG by Bioware? I'm calling the entire plot now. It will be revealed in the beginning that you are the hero/savior of the city/world/general area in the beginning of the game. After that you will have to solve the problems of several people/groups of people and then unite them and then they will help you defeat the antagonist. There will be no unexpected twist. The dialog choices in every cutscene will have the option to make your character act like a prude or an ass and they will change what they say and how they act in some small way but the actual outcome will only be affected in a minimal way if at all.

Also expect lots of brown.

For the sake of PC gaming please do not support EA and any of their product.

I'm not giving them any money after the SWTOR trainwreck.

Good move apparently, considering how ME3 turned out.

I've become very wary of Bioware for a number of reasons... I'll have an eye on this game though.

I would totally not laugh if Dragon age 3 has an online system and a cash shop where you need to spend real $ on necessities. Thats an exaggeration though :D

Multiplayer was confirmed for Dragon Age 3 a while ago. All that's left really is to see how much it affects the singleplayer portion.

The only thing I disliked about ME3 was the horrendous ending. The gameplay and the story otherwise was pretty solid. But that ending.. just leaves a bad taste in your mouth.

As for everything else, well, I never got on the DA boat and I don't feel like picking it up now.

You had no issue with Day One DLC?  It's effectively the way to get people to cough up 70 bucks per game without actually raising prices.  EA reports that money as part of their first week sales, hence why they develop it.  Never mind that Javik was considered pretty essential.  Not necessary to beat the game, but a core part of lore.

Central to the lore, certainly. But I managed to play it just fine without him. Day 1 DLC isn't my favorite thing in the world, but I know why they made it, game resales are a decently sized market and this is a way for developers to get a piece of that pie without restricting essential content (MP, story content, etc). I'm also relatively anti-retailer, so that's part of my stance.

There is also the fact that the later DLC is released the less people buy it. The earlier you can push something like that out the better as a developer so that you can earn some money off of it. Which is why they make DLC. Doing it to continue the story seems disingenuous to me as that is something that should remain central to the game. So, they had a companion which you have no previous contact with and as far as I know wasn't hinted at in the lore available for 10$ USD. Were it Tali I would be pissed. Were it Legion I'd be livid. Were it Wrex I'd be a prototypical Krogan. I believe that it is stronger without him, one of the big driving factors in the lore of the game is the huge gulf between the 'modern' galactic civilizations and the Protheans. Having one alive would mean so many mysteries and questions could be answered, the mystic is gone. But that's a personal opinion of mine and could possibly be seen as reasoning through my decision to not purchase the DLC.

If we are to continue this conversation, may I suggest in PM? This thread is supposed to be for DA:3 after all.
