I`ve checked out every forum,video,blog,etc. I could on SoS WvW.

And after being on Blackgate for the first month and transfering to Tarnished Coast(to be with old friends) I`m more then sure that SoS will have zero problem with the BG zergfest.

SoS guilds are soild across the board with player skill and tactics.

Sitting across the table from BG has been almost laughable. In the past 2 weeks I have been in Eternal Battlegrounds and TC homelands with a group of maybe 20 of us with just a sea of BG red names on my screen.

From a TC point of view, there has been no show of tactics when we are out gunned 3 to 1 nearly 24hrs a day.

I have no ill will toward any server we have fought in WvW,But BG will not go into T1 and roll SoS. (I`ll put gold on that)

PS call me a fanboy or whatever you kids are calling people these days,But the proof is all over youtube,etc. Videos do not lie about  how good SoS is.

One of the core goals behind our recent published tactics and recruitment videos was actually so that it gives leaders and commanders from ALL servers a new way to look at the game, think of it as a way to revitalize competition. If Blackgate comes into Tier 1 with an open mind and eats up the tactics and strategy we're using on SoS, there is no questions that you guys will be very worthy opponents.

This is Blackgate recruitment thread. If you want to compliment SoS (and flame BG), do it in SoS thread Eventhough BG might not be good at tactics or the coverage aint as good compare to SoS, but we will be there fighting and adapt for it. I'm sure this 2nd time BG entering tier1, we have improved and become a better server than the first time dealing with JQQ/SBI in tier1. Looking forward for the fight.

Welcome to Imperial Coalition [ICoa], a WvW-focused guild based on the Blackgate server. There are no requirements to join the Imperial Coalition, however we do ask that members represent the guild 100% of the time on all characters.

Blackgate is a North American server, however we actively recruit new players from all regions (NA, EU, Oceania). We have a strong player base from all three regions, so there are always people online to keep you company. Our guild always has people in WvW, whether it's defending or attacking, playing in the Eternal Battlegrounds or a Borderland, there are always people to join and something to do. Although we are heavily focused on WvW, do do regularly step out to enjoy ourselves in dungeons, PvE, events, and other activities.

Imperial Coalition is a friendly community, upholding close relationships between all of its members. The guild chat is always open to discussion of both WvW and off topic discussions. We also use Mumble, where our members can talk between themselves and also with members from other guilds in Blackgate if they wish. Contests and events are held regularly to get to know each other better and build better relationships with those in the guild.

We still need guilds in the Eastern NA time zone, Australia, and some more EU players would go a very long way. Speak to myself or Nirvii if you are interested in helping the cause.

Yep, especially EST and that time between the Oceanics and NAs. There's about a 4 hour window during this switch that we have a lack of players, where we generally start losing everything that the Oceanics have gained us over night.

It says FULL a lot but if you restart often it isn't tough to get in.  most folks I spoke with who transferred this past week said it only took them 20 mins to an hour of trying.

The great thing about BG is we don't have a dead time slot anywhere.  From NA to Oceanic to SEA to Euro we have a healthy population at all times!

What we don't have is any one single timezone that is just stacked to the brim with queues.

I love it here, we fight when we have almost the whole map and we fight even harder when we have less..  This is the place for competitive WvW action any time day or night!

We LOVE Blackgate.

It has gone through so much and it is still fighting hard! Since the roller-coaster ride from T1 to T2 and slowly climbing back to T1, Blackgate have proved to be a server that will never give up

While the score might tell you a different story and forum might give you the same impression, it is merely superior 24/7 coverage from the opponent that result in such outcome. I plead with you to join us in fighting for a server that is known as 'Beastgate'. You can make it happen!

Doesn't matter if you are a single player, small PvX guild or a dedicated WvW force, you will enjoy the WvW experience that Blackgate can offer you.

Oh...Almost forgot, most importantly while we do our best to win a match, having FUN always takes no.1 priority

This is my first post on Guru because I think this needs to be spoken. I've been on Blackgate since day one and I mostly do WvW. I have to say that the community is very good here with some hilarious and pleasant people to chat/hang with. Above all though one thing that I keep seeing in the BG WvW community is the respect for other servers and the game itself. That may not be so apparent for you on other servers but if you're here you'll know it.

Regardless of some of the posters claimed, BG needs more WvW guilds. We die a lot (lol) and our beasts got rolled many times but the fact that this server is in T1 a few times already is proof that people here don't give up regardless of the odds. We're in T1 because of the very hard work of the community here, I can tell you that. A lot of people pull extra long hours to cover the maps. There's only a few times you see queues in maps during NA primetime and when there's one its not a long queue at all, and we're talking about a server in T1!  (Its quite a feat for this server to be in T1 really and congrats to every single one of you beasties for that!).

In these important times, with the massive guild shuffle going on, I must note one thing about Blackgate.

Community is great, and breach timezones like no other server. Have experienced other US servers, where EU/SEA etc was seen (and treated) like servants to the NA crowd, taking care of their home while they were sleeping/working.

So dont be scared! no issues with Lag, great community, players to group with in PvE around the clock, massive organized WWW in all timezones, with great cooperation both ingame, and on server forums - blackgatewvw.com .

Absolutely agreed. Going other servers but blackgate will suffer a lot because queue time especially will be even worse when the february WvW reward patch is up! So Blackgate is a fine choice with less to no queue at all in almost all BLs (apart from reset moment)!

Despite the fact that it seems that we're "unsecured" choice in tier1 atm compared to No1 SoS and No2 JQ, but we pack a heavy punch! We won tier2 9  weeks straight with no loss with highest PPT up to +680! We just need load of Oceanic guilds (Or Late NA guilds) to cover our hole then we're fine!

i believe most t1 and t2 servers have great community. but what makes BG different is that it is not led by one or two super large size guilds. instead, it is made up of lots & lots of small and medium size guilds decide on working together and helping each other. beasts of a community imo. love it.

As a small Guild In Blackgate, The Black Dragon Templars have always found our larger counterparts easy to work with. we tend to concentrate in more of a support role as we dont have the numbers to really venture out on our own. Yet more often than not we have managed to organize the pug and very efficiently defend and even expand our territory (not easy as you can imagine).

The team mentality is what really makes Blackgate such a great server. there is a mutual respect whether you are part of a large  or small guild, your input is important and expected, there are no ego trips, and if you have a better idea then you will have the support of the other players.

So I guess that what I am saying is that I am glad to be a part of the Blackgate community, and if you or your guild are looking for a new home; Blackgate would be happy to have you as well.

Right now BG's biggest issue is that we could use a few more fighters. We are punching way above our weight class at the moment and fighting harder then any other server out there.

Join us and join Team "The European time zone is run mostly by Danes and there for it is the best time zone" and be better then every one else.

We're really needing some help. If your guild is part of a bleeding server, and you're looking for a new home, please strongly consider Blackgate. Despite what our vocal minority may have you thinking, we're a very respectful server and enjoy playing against everybody. The large amount of smaller guilds make for an interesting community, and we have top notch organization as well as server wide communication between the maps.  Our main issue at this point is coverage, and with the influx of guilds going to our opponents in Jade Quarry and Sea of Sorrows (which in their own right are excellent servers. Congratulations on your acquisitions!), we're needing more support than ever. The most important thing to many of the guilds on our server is playing for first, regardless of the point score. I'm sure most of our opponents can attest that we do not stop fighting. Ever. Tooth and nail, down to reset.

Come join us, a server with a winning attitude regardless of what the scoreboard says. Play with excellent guilds such as Thai, and HB. Fight for a Tier 1 server with nothing to lose and everything to gain. Fight for BEASTGATE.
