More importantly, which core mobile i7?

If the CPU is up to the task, high without AA is very feasible with a decent framerate at 1920x1080.

The 580m can handle veryhigh settings but it all depends on your CPU.

I am very suspicious about the nvidia 500 series, they give out a lot of heat :(

If the 580m is in a decently cooled notebook like a Clevo or Alienware, then you have nothing to worry about as long as you make sure it doesn't get clogged with dust. Also, per the requirements of the small size, heat output of mobile GPUs is always limited. They usually top out at 100W for the most powerful ones and the cooling of laptops that use those is designed accordingly.
