you should get into doing dungeons. they reward quite a bit of gold when done in moderation. especially fractals. use gw2lfg.com to find groups.
you can also do events in the cursed shore, a lvl 80 map. frostgorge sound and malchor's leap are also good maps.
besides that, completing maps gives you rewards too, depending on the level of the map.

if you're looking into more advanced stuff, playing the trading post sounds pretty difficult, but awards pretty well.

I would avoid the trading post in a effort to make money other then selling your mats - unless you really know what you are doing you will just help feed the power brokers, I do think you should check the value of the mats you collect and sell for top value, so many player just go in and sell for what ever the amount the screen has posted and they make no more effort that than click and they lose additional profit.

I guess gw2lfg.com is Okay, I would rather have the in game spam than an outside source, it kind of splits players up - but joining a good guild would be better than random groups.

How did you get to 80? did you just speed through it? if you experience a wide range of activities you should have some kind of clue :/

yeah, playing the TP is kind of hard. but the trading forums are pretty alive with smallish traders, not the huge powerbrokers. so i guess it's feasible.

i would rather have a decent lfg tool ingame, and no lfg spam. i'm in a pretty decently active guild, but chances are you'll still have to fill the remaining spots with pugs.

Here's an endgame gearing guide by Dulfy. Running dungeons is probably the easiest way to get exotics, but you can craft them too, or buy your gear in Orr with Karma. Crafting requires more gold, but karma gear requires more time.

Grab exotic weapons first. You can either buy them off the TP or craft them (with a max crafting profession or in the Mystic Forge).

buy gems with real money and convert them to gold.

or grind AC exp mode for +/- 3 gold for all three paths.

Gem store is the fastest way to get rich.

That or speculate the TP, buy, resell for more money.

Do 100%, got around 20g from it.

Dungeons.

I suggest Ascalonian Catacombs. Most teams have at least 1 player who's experienced at each path that you can follow, and it can easily give a good 5 g for all three paths + the tokens that you can use for max armor/weapons.
