Okay so yeah, I wanted to get up to 10 HoM points for this Fiery sword, and get the armor as well!
So 10 Points was my own personal goal I set for myself, and planned on not touching GW1 for awhile after I leveled up more in GW2 with the Fiery Sword skin on my character.

Bought Guild Wars 1 Trilogy
Bought Eye of the North
Boom: $50 Bucks down the drain, Lets get my money's worth.

Linked my account, 3 points, easy peasy, 7 more to go.

Well.... I've put 2.8/Close to 3 hours in the game, and haven't even gotten passed level 3.

I don't understand any of this, I run around trying to do these quests, but all of them require me to beat level 8 monsters that chase me, and then I get to people who betray me, then their level 15, I get to the point where their 1 K.O. me at the ressurection spawn, and thats just total BS.

So I've been researching on easy ways to getting to 10 points for HoM, and supposingly I need some stupid statues? No guides on how to get them, and after all this GW1 Rage, and researching its given me a killer headache, so I'm hoping SOMEONE will please help me on this. The game isn't even fun either. I thought it would be somewhat enjoyable, but honestly, its just.....terrible so far. Maybe someone can flip my rage around, but in the long run, how can I get to 10 points without rage quitting and uninstalling this terrible game?

I think you missed the point where Guild Wars 1 has a main story quest line (missions) and most other 'quests' are optional. Just saying uninstall because he missed some of the basics is not helpful at all, and would be a complete waste of cash. If you want the easiest learning curve try Prophecies, though if you want to get the HoM points fast and afterwards never look back go with Factions.

Good luck!

Getting 10 points is easy, but if you play a game just for that, quit now. A new MMO takes a lot of time to get used to, don't think you can do it just like that

Yes, but where are these Main Story Missions? How come I cannot find them? Is there something that makes me them different from others?

its pretty basic mmo setup actually. exclamation marks on npcs means they give a quest. when you have quests in your log, you can select them. the selected quest will have its objective marked on your map, its a small green star. the minimap will show it too. if you see a green arrow instead of a star, it means you have to go into a different zone, and the arrow will lead you to that zone.

as far as finding level 15 monsters...someone with a better memory will correct me if wrong, but in pre-searing i dont remember mobs being that high unless you manage to go north of the wall. dont go north of the wall. do the quests.

I would suggest not going with prophecies first if you are planning on HoM rewards. I would go with Nightfall since it is much easier to get points though that. Especially with heroes and hero armor being really easy points. Plus, it paces better and levels you up even faster.

Start in factions, use a guide, and you'll be max level in 3-4 hours. :)

I'm going to have to close this thread as this is a question pertaining to Guild Wars 1, and this forum is dedicated to Guild Wars 2. Guild Wars Guru has it's own GW1 dedicated site & forum for GW1 related questions & discussions.
