[Tsym] - This guild is unique in its ability to create a metagame of hyper aggression or control depending on the situation. [TSym] prides itself on being a training guild.

Gotta say after playing with these guys for a few days they're the most annoying guild to play with. They bug you day in and day out for mandatory training which doesn't teach anything about playing Wv3. They force their players to use specific builds that are terrible for Wv3. They definitely uphold the definition of a "Pro Noob", and refuse to accept any criticism about their bad tactics or builds! You would figure with all the time they spend in Wv3; they would actually know how to build around it, and utilize good strategies and tactics.

If you want to get a few laughs in listening to these guys train and talk about how their builds are so Amazing... This is the guild for you! The novelty wears off after a few days and just becomes an ear-sore to listen too, and results in leaving the guild after the 50th message about not joining their retarded training...

Some good guilds on the list are FoE and DiE... Played with some of them and some quality people right there... Can't speak for the rest, because I don't know them well enough.

Sigh.

The phrase "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say it at all" is coming to mind right now.

Naw, 1up is a known troll.  If were making him not feel at home, were doing our job right!  The measure of a guild should not only be who is in the guild, but who is not.  We hope our members as well as our community know and understands this!  SoS guilds as a whole will be a very uncomfortable place to be for most of the jerks you have been subject to on forums such as these.  If this appeals to you, shoot us a tell for more information!

GG this week guys, looking forward to shuffle!

^ that

If you're just going to troll, post images or try to stir up trouble - go away. You're not welcome here. And by here I mean Stonemist.

Reckon you've got a point to prove? Go do it in WvW.

Not really, just stating the facts about your guild and how you guys can't accept criticism along with just being terrible altogether.

Oh careful. You'll draw the hate with this question and be called an 'Elitist Native'.

Well, this is a question I would have of ANY server if I were to transfer my guild to it.

It's no different than getting an out of state job and wanting to know how secure it is before you up and move your whole family.

I think it is a realistic and reasonable question.

Oh my god yawn, JQ and SBI both we did not troll your recruitment threads when you guys have been recruiting for 6 weeks straight, also MERC is originally SoS and I'm sure many more are.

Bored with the trolls already, everyone is quiet for weeks, then finally when you win you decide to troll the threads over and over? Bad Winners / Sore losers.

Edit: Come join us on SoS it's a fun server filled with great people looking to help you out and share their knowledge / tactics. We've already had the interest of quite a few guilds so come grab your slot on SoS before they take it! :)

MERC, OCX, TS, pW and I believe AFS are all native SoS guilds.  Notice how they're all Oceanic timezone?  There are more but not all are as active in WvW, or some may have fallen by the wayside due to attrition or assimilation.

Out of that list maybe MERC and Team Shatter are even remotely relevant in WvW coverage for SoS. Then again regardless that is 5 guilds out of a list of 21....

Yes SoS has a lot of non-native guilds.  We welcome them since as a WvW goes, SoS started  its life as a PvX Oceanic server.  Back in the day, we would take over all the maps at "night", only to lose them all during the day.  Every day.  Sadly because we only had Oceanic coverage, we'd win 1/3rd of the time compared to any server that had EU And NA coverage.  Our most notable transfer apart from the much mentioned PRX, came from the arrival of Tsym and the AoI guilds, which in many ways filled our NA server gap.

Membership-wise, TS, and MERC alone probably have more people than the rest of the 19 guilds.  Put together.  They may not have the addictive drive to be in WvW all day every day that some of the WvW centric guilds do, but the flipside is due to their size, you can probably log in at any time and find someone from MERC or TS in WvW somewhere.

Thanks ProfGast, was actually really informative and something I been wondering for a long time. I do happen to see random [MERC] and [TS] on most maps almost every time I am in WvW.

It looks like my post was removed from this thread last night?  Maybe I was just so tired it didn't post.

JQ and SoS did not troll the SBI guild recruitment thread.  I would like to ask any and all SBI members to not so in this thread.  It's bad mannered.  Even as trolls at least give some breathing room for positive reinforcement of the community overall, if you don't then you'll run out of people to troll.

Thanks for being respectful in advance,

LOL!!! That didnt take too long.

The great sos is looking for jumpers because without a 2/3 to 1 advantage they dont wipe so much ....

I never post about the servers or matchups but cant help but add something here.

Everyone should rush to join these "win at all costs" ( read into that I cant say what they really are ) guilds ( AGG, MERC, TSYM to name a few ).

Personally I value honest play to much to ever consider this server even if they were the last WvW server left.

Best of luck recruiting though.
Agreed. They should have waited until next week before making this topic. One loss doesn't mean anything, especially since it was during a holiday week.
But then again, every server has made one of these topics when they started losing.

Yet the vast majority of the "militia" on SoS are natives.

I can say without a doubt that MERC has a ridiculous WvW addictive personality, most of us notice our gold going down down down because all we do is log on, post in guild chat "Which BL we in?" > get answer > que > stay in WvW for 5-12 hours, log off, repeat tomorrow. MERC tries always to have a WvW presence, oceanic hours are our strongest, but we always have people on.

I think you are avoiding the question and as a guild leader I am really surprised you did not strongly recommend they go to a server you were not fighting but each to their own I guess. Anyway I should keep out of your thread. Still its a free bump.

Kurthos is just a laid back guy with a lot on his plate.  If anything he just doesn't deem it a concern at all.  It's nothing anyone can control anyways and all that would happen is folks turn off their guild tags.  I give Kurthos a lot of credit for keeping Work calm.  We get some wall jumper popping into a keep it gets barely a passing mention in TS and we deal with it without people freaking out.  Impressed by the members ability to let stuff out of our control roll off of them and that comes from our leadership.

Oh and our weak point is definitely around 8:30am EST until I'd say all the way up to 4pm EST.  It's just a hole where JQ runs away with a 400PPT plus tick.

Nobody really cares in SoS who's native and for how long you've been there. If you love WvW, if you like to be in a tight knit community, you're welcome. Sure the older guild might be proud, but they sure aren't bumping down our ego. They've been great help and extremely friendly and cooperative to the newer guilds that joined in tier 3, 2 or 1.
