Ouch, this doesn't bode well for our chances.

I wouldnt worry about it. They were just another non factor guild jumping to be on the first place server type from our experiences this week. Only ran into them once or twice but it wasnt anything to run from.

Just a tip on our way to t2 worry about 1st place not 2nd and you guys will be fine. SoS is a force to be reckon with and JQ is JQ.

From what I saw some of their folks are still having trouble transferring due to those darn PVErs keeping our servers full. :P

I found their server choice to be a bit odd, as even with PRX leaving SoS is obviously not suffering during NA primetime hours, and it's not like SoS has much more to shoot for at this point other than continuing to win forever, but meh it's certainly not my place to judge. Good luck on your new home PTX. Hope you find what you were missing on FA.

They've already made a substantial contribution to the server.

Very happy to make the move to SoS. I was very impressed at how organized the server was. We have been welcomed with open arms and we look forward to contributing to SoS and helping in any way that we can. Truly a great server.

does Saint Thunderdome still play? We never actually got to drink the tears of our enemies underneath the superior arrow carts of a reset.

She plays a lil bit. Not as much as before. I'm sure you both can still drink the tears of your enemies here soon. Looks like we can start with Blackgate :)

The move for PTX from FA to SoS was based on a lot of things and none of them was anything about being in Tier 1. Blackgate was a server we looked into transferring to as well. Frankly, at the end of the day, the community, organization, and overall feel of SoS was what won us over. That's all the talking I will do. I'll see you all on the battlefield :)

I want to show case our tactics. Its not hard to reverse engineer any particular build the enemy finds interesting. We did it with [LoD] Hammer builds and [TL] Stack Tactics.

If we show people how we look at the game, we'll pull like minded players to our guilds and server.

To be fair, I've been rolling the "LoD" hammer build since I hit 80 in August, as with when I joined TSym in September and brought that idea to my small group of Warriors ;D

To be fair LoD popularized the build and turned it into a in-game-phenomenon. Say what you want about "running the build since X/Y/Z", but do not slight their credit on putting Hammer Trains on the map.

Good luck recruiting.

I just love how everyone who joins a server that isn't yours is a bandwagonner, quite funny so if a big guild jumps onto JQ or SBI like they have they are not bandwagonners.

Most guilds which have decided to transfer and join the SoS community has been due to the hard work of all our guild leaders and community which is the most welcoming, accepting and easy to work with server. The community and synergy of the guilds on this server is insane.

Oh I give them full credit. They definitely popularized the build. I got jealous when I saw their whole line of Warriors running it. I really did. I stood among my ranks with the only Hammer really. =/ Definitely Cheers to them.

To my SoS brethren out there I don't like making non-recruitment thread related responses so I will be short in my words. As your teams are aware SF runs a hammer train in honor of LoD as one of the closest teams we have worked with. I will state that any statements of reverse engineering the beast and the coordination from any team that has rolled against SF while utilizing the build on LoD nights has failed to proper counter it from my perspective. Any of you that has fought me in open field knows I state the truth, please do not discredit my boys in LoD, they just so happen to be professional grade and should not be downplayed in someones recruitment thread.

On a positive note SoS is serious business about being T1. This server will bring a strict mentality to the table when it comes to wrecking teams out there. The coordination between guilds is quite phenominal adding to their synergy as a server that strives for T1 style competition.

Good luck on pulling in coverage, its pretty tough to do so, I know from experience ;)

Thanks for your words man, We loved fighting with SF. I wish you all the luck in Tier 2, and I do hope to see you all again. Thanks again to LoD, sincerely. I love my Hammer and I'm glad someone popularized it. Cheers.

Helix [HLX] have begun actively recruiting. We're a very small aussie WvW guild, who've been on SoS since day 1. We take care of supply camps , scouting and basically all the dirty work using small teams.

Greeting, I am here to report the biggest success of your recruitment thread. Yes indeed, I have transferred over to Sea of Sorrows from my beloved Stormbuff Isle. I already helped you guys take your keep in EB, expect more greater things to come in near future.

What SoS has gained:
1. A players who plays WvWvW around 10 to 12 hours everyday.
2. An excellent scout who can report enemy position along with their numbers and which objective they are headed towards.
3. A player who likes to upgrade camps, towers and keeps (yes 2nd worker as first upgrade).
4. Someone who is always stocked with siege to use when needed, and likes to refresh already built ones while our zerg is away fighting the enemy.
5. A player whose love for Dolyak is second to none. I always escort our Dolyaks when I am not working on a objective, and if I am working on an objective I make sure to give them a speed boost when I pass them.
6. someone who loves killing enemy Dolyaks, especially when our zerg is banging one gate of a structure. I make sure enemy gets no supply to repair/make siege.
7. A player who does not fears death, so if you are charging into a group of enemies and I am nearby be assured you will have 1 fellow player who will fight alongside you till we kill the enemy or we die together.
8. Someone who always does WvWvW keeping the bigger picture in mind. Forming a group of 50 and running around capturing stuff only to leave it undefended is not my cup of tea.
9. A player who solo's a supply camp while our main force is busy fighting on the other side of the map.

So with a heavy heart, I leave my beloved SBI. It was a tough decision, but it had to be made. With original population participating in WvWVW less and less, coupled with no significant transfers - SBI has a massive shortage of players. Not only that but more and more players are now forming Karma farming trains, never defending/upgrading stuff. They do not even listen to our veteran commanders, forcing some of them to change map or log off in disgust. As someone who gives his all in the battlefield, I would like to play on a server knowing that at least 20% of the players on the map are giving their best for the server, like I am.

The choice was to be made between JQ and SoS. On SoS I don't like [Agg] because how they flamed Jang Gun and then Shoe_rack used abusive language towards him. On top of that some Ox dude said they can wipe WM any day lol, it must be the biggest joke in GW2 Guru history.

As a SBI player I have always considered JQ as a sibling, doing my best to make sure little brother JQ does not comes first - you know if your cousin fails, you feel sad. But if your cousin comes first and you third, the pain is unbearable :D . I was thinking of going to JQ when I finally made up my mind to leave SBI, but then I remembered Sayura is on JQ. Now [Agg] only flamed Jang Gun once, but this Sayura dude constantly insults other servers when his server is winning. I still remember the stupid insults he threw at Blackgate, while running away on actual battle in game. Then I decided I can tolerate [Agg], plus the pleasure of killing Sayura again and again and again and again in game has no equal.

Also this is my last post of Guild Wars 2 Guru forums, it has been a fun stay!
