These are my ideas that I believe could be adapted to the game, and I've tried to simplify them and made them manageable for anet to tinker with. Please note that this is my personal view of some awesome ideas. Constructive feedback is appreciated and needed, but don't start flaming at me or anything
Actual player interaction feels limited in guild wars 2. Except for sending mails, inviting players to a party and doing profession skill combos, there's not really anything you can do except click on a player to view their name and check for world completion. While many are satisfied with how limited player interaction are, I have been feeling that there's something huge missing. I present to you, a few ideas to spice things up:
1. Inspect Character/View Detail.
I don't know about you guys, but GW2 is the very first mmorpg I've played without this functionality. If you want to view another players details, you should be able to! By right-clicking a player within range and choosing this option. Players who doesn't want their info to be showcased will hate this, but that's why this function comes with a "deny inspect" (or something) in the options tab in the game, so you can actually prevent players to inspect you if you don't want them to peek at your characters info. This is a lovely "add" to the game, and I really can't see why not?
2. Player trading.
I haven't played too many mmorpgs, but WoW has this, and Aion has this. Basicly, you right click a player (same as when you want to inspect them) and you click the "trade" option. You get a tab open that interacts with the other player. You can write in how much gold you want to trade, or drag any item you want to send into the few item-slots represented. Both players have to click the agree button, and the player being traded then clicks accept or reject.
Why this, when you can send mail? Mailing might make interaction easier, but I just find "trading" to be better. Dunno why. And again, why not add this because we have mail system? The more options, the better!
3. Battle request.
Right click a player and.... you already know this, so. Basicly, you start a duel with a friend and that friend only. Many games have this function working in cities, and others don't. This is completely up to anet to decide. Do you want to kill some spare time by having a harmless battle with your friend? Or do you want to check how stronger you've become with your new gear? This "add" helps you so you don't HAVE to go to sPvP and face your friend as the enemy. Again, why not? Does it really hurt to add this? It would be so much fun!
The battle ends when either of you gets the other player to 1 hp, when the time limit ends or the players have too great a distance inbetween. So don't worry, you won't die...
I will add more but please discuss these ones first
