It looks like Blackgate is going to tier1 again. Its been a while, but after winning tier 2 for god knows how many weeks, I think we have deserved it.

We in HB are looking forward to it, and I know alot of other guilds is aswel. Its going to be a first vs. SoS and we got alot of good memories fighting the JQ guilds.

Made a small video about heading into tier 1. I hope you will take your time watching it and leave a comment. See you on friday.

Same to our friends on SBI. If you play during NA primetime, you'll have some really fun fights on your hands in T2. Who knows how long our stay will be this time, but we plan to make the most of it.

Hopefully we drive a harder and more organized push than the last time we hit T1.  It's no fun to any server when morale starts on the low end!

Currently slated to surpass SBI by 24 points and at the current rate that differential has been pretty stable +/- 5.

I'm stoked. JQ and SoS, I hope you're ready. 3 months playing in the Tier 1 proving grounds does things to a server when it finally moves up

Well SBI have been pushing hard in the last 24 hours so lets see how it pans out. Personally I am really interested to see how BG and SoS face up to each other given that there are several guilds on each server who know each other well from previous alliances.

There are several ways a JQ, SoS, BG match up could go and some scenarios certainly don't look great for JQ depending on how strong those friendships turn out to be We shall see. All is fair in WvWvW though as I have said before.

This guy is butt hurt that they're getting kicked out of T1 before being able to beat us.

1. JQ bet us over christmas/ New years, they took advantage of when users aren't on and golem rushed hard. Props to them for their tactics.

2. We have very little EU and Asia look at the statistics of PPT and users online and you can see that for yourself.

3. It's a three way match, there will also be 2v1. Two servers are fighting to another servers objective, if you think one server wont attack because another server is attacking, then you're very much mistaken.

I have longed to fight Blackgate for weeks. Tier 1 has become so stale. It should be a fun fight despite who comes out on top, inclusive of JQ. It will be a welcome sight to see a new server in tier 1, and its going to be an even more warm welcome than usual seeing as it is Blackgate.

Really look forward to fighting [HB] & [KnT]....

Because SBI never claimed that they lost because of holidays and one-time events.

We desperately need more WvW focused guilds and players though. We have far too many PvX guilds and pugs who do not put in much effort, and not nearly enough competent commander coverage to stay in Tier 1 for very long. So on behalf of BG, I beg any WvW guilds (especially from lower tiers) who are looking to get into a more serious WvW environment, please consider BG. If you or your guild plan on joining BG in our fight to become a true competitor in Tier 1, please contact me on these forums or ingame as well, as I would love to talk to you.

I think Beastgate has a very good chance at staying in Tier 1, we have many good players especially during Oceanic hours, but we lack the numbers of truly dedicated and competent players during most other hours. It will be interesting to see how well we do in Tier 1, but I personally think that, at least this time around, it will also depend a lot on how well SBI does in Tier 2. As SBI has been in Tier 1 much longer, I think they will destroy Tier 2 far more than we can do in Tier 1, as most of our players have no idea the differences of Tier 1 and 2 and the more advanced tactics and strategies required. However, I think the next time we get into Tier 1, we will be staying, at least for a while.
