Bullshit. HoD had 4 hour plus ques after release. Go look at the match threads. Go troll elsewhere.

At it's height under TA, HoD actually had 10 hour ques.   That's why myself and others started the spread the wealth to not just other servers, but to the EU bracket campaign.  http://www.guildwars...p-tier-bracket/

Normal gaming attrition would have put T1 green at 5 hour queues by the time JQ took lead server.  According to what I read, JQ's first time being T1 green had 3 hour queues.  So either the wealth spread a bit or attrition was much higher than expected even back then.

Is it me or is a lot of JQ bored out of there minds today. I was trying to get some vet kills for a guildy and i found 5-10 man groups camping every thing from Supply camps to jumping puzzles. I even saw a group trying to attack a warcamp.

No worries. A lot of us plan on getting some PvE stuff done over the next few days if the score holds (which pretty sure it will). You'll have plenty of space soon enough.

I'd imagine EVERYONE is bored. Competition went to shit on Monday night (I think it's clear as to why) and people are mostly screwing around.

I have a healthy respect for Tsym, Agg and some days VotF. I don't know a lot about Merc, Work and any of the others tbh. But I'm familiar with reputation.

Tysm is like the mad scientist guild. Agg is just mad and kills their scientists (I think). VotF does some great work when they're not just farming badges. Now, it seems to me, that the little guy plays a much bigger role on SoS and that's a good thing. I'd love to see you guys run more 5 man teams. I mean, as it is players can take a camp solo. Even 5 can be overkill.

And I'm not saying SoS doesn't run 5 man teams, before anyone jams me up for that. I'm saying MORE of them. So should JQ! More so that we can have some smaller fights to get accurate measurable on how certain tricks and builds do versus other small groups.

Blackgate runs a lot of really good 3 to 10 player squads. They can teach the two bigger servers how to be more efficient with less players. This is what I'm hoping we'll start to see. Lately, I run away from blue pins and take a small group around. We might pop in to get the event (can always use more karma), but it's made a huge difference in my drop rate and badge aquisition.

In the birth pains of T1, BG got stuck alone against TA's HoD in it's full power prime, when NSP folded.  Like a long walk to your execution, that was a very special kind of suck.

We adapted as best possible and kept fighting.   The core always does, it is part of the server's charm.

It's nice of you to notice and compliment our scrappy fighters.  It's much appreciated, CLB.

Like I've said before, I used to have a man crush on SBI. Now I have a man crush on BG. I like people who know how to roll short handed. We've been where you guys are right now, and it can suck sometimes, but hey as long as we got blood on our hands, we were happy.

Good luck and good fights!

I don't know about you guys but I put off fractals long enough for the monthly and this is enough attrition to motivate me to PvE. That's my only complaint.

Here, put this in to perspective, this should make things all simple because you all suck with schmoozing each others junk over

SoS
-Running a buncha weeks pretty hard to stay in first
-Teams putting in extra hours to maintain rank over health
-This server is tired because of the top two things listed
-The core teams of SoS have not relocated, they are still very much allocated on their respective server
-Server presence will be strong after the allocated breaks and refreshments at the SoS bbq and dance off

BG
-Consistent in attendance thus far in T1
-Capability of bouncing back in force from a T2 drop and not falling apart
-Stable server for any teams to transfer to based upon the core teams ability to stick through thick and thin
-Gained a bad reputation from previous forum warriors that are no longer located on said server
-Stable server that can maintain in a T1 competition given some learning curve time with some of the more greener teams out there
-Veteran teams putting on a good show in general and it looks like wealth of knowledge is being passed to PuG base

JQ
-Capability of surviving in T1 competition with a skeleton crew, this cascading in to a smaller team dealing with higher numbers effect
-When on SBI I had witnessed that JQ had gaps in coverage and were unable to field over a maps worth of teams
-Recruitment campaign successful by asking particular teams to transfer to the community before transfer lockout
-Sidenote to recruitment: The approach was very personal to each team involved
-With new teams on boarded to the new server, presence and "honeymoon" will be in effect for a while before things settle out on the server, this causing higher activity all round for WvW on the JQ server BL’s until the initial dust settles
-Server is now capable of rotating multiple guilds in and out of WvW and still have a healthy map presence giving breaks to teams that have been out there non-stop preventing burnout

SBI (This needs a timeline thing..)
Keep in mind this is from my perspective since I was heavily involved throughout all of this
October/November
Two primary teams running in WvW during October and November events.  SF and LoD as primary teams to handle large zergs on a nightly basis consistently swapping maps to maintain.  The remainder of teams that are still active in WvW that have left SBI have all stayed alive as a guild by running guild events and doing a lot of PvE during this period with spurts of assistance in WvW, but not consistent.  LoD leaves the SBI teams.  This being one of the last larger team presence during prime time NA.  The remainder of teams during NA prime start to pull longer shifts to maintain and giving it their all.  This pool is roughly 200-400 players spread across all maps.
December
WM leaves and SBI takes a rather large morale hit.  Remaining teams continue to press on without their WM brethren backing them up.  For consistency sake, WM would take a week here or there for a break, the primary teams that stayed consistent during these hours on a weekly basis were NYS, YAKI, SYN…the list goes on.  By the time WM had left their presence was already on the decline so it wasn’t a huge hit until it was more vocalized.  As word of mouth carries, teams decide to flow to Kaineng or other servers.  Map chat becomes polluted with negativity about how doomed the server is.  This will cascade in to a domino effect that starts to pull teams/people away from WvW in general.

January
SBI is unable to organize teams properly or do any full blown recruitment for various reasons that will go unsaid in a public forum.  Regardless, there were many attempts made to recruit for the server, other teams decided not to come for their reasons that they are right to have.  With the numbers dwindling and teams not wanting to see a server die out in something they love to do or have to fight outnumbers all the time for weeks until their server drops, a decision was made by multiple team leads to go their separate ways.

My gaming life in GW2 started on SBI and I got to witness the server go on a downhill slope first hand.  From a personal perspective it was just a participation factor all in all that had quote, unquote “killed” the server in WvW.  Had there been more of a healthy maintenance of the WvW community by all parties participating, I’m sure you would see a different SBI today.  The fact of the matter is, is it was too many small teams out there not bonded together to form Voltron when needed after time going on.  I have noticed so far that JQ has done a great job in their community to include everyone.  This has streamlined the utilization of resources to the max enabling teams to move freely and more stress free feeling backed up.

End of a really long wall of text, sorry, but I figured I’d put more of an analysis down than my emotions, but a lot of this is observation from my perspective.
You gotta be kidding right? BG consistent attendance? We have very long spans where you're lucky to find a commander on any map and if you do there's 6 other pugs running into walls or asking " any mesmers in JP?"  BG does very well on reset when the odds are equal

When does JQ survive with a skeleton crew?

"given some learning curve time with some of the more greener teams out there"  this comes from a WvW All-Stars perspective I'm guessing

Jade Quarry has queues on all BL during peak, and Eternal has queues even during off-hours. So far I'm noticing the queues are much worse than HoD at it's prime. I'm hoping this is temporary and only due to the recent influx of returning players because of the patch.
At the very least, we ought to remove the "No queues" line from our server advertising thread.

Btw, anyone have a reasonable guess as to whether Blackgate or SoS Borderland usually has the shorter queue?

Yuck, you are on JQ now?  I like peeps on BG and SoS too much to suggest they have lower to no queue times and risk you going back there . . . maybe try some tier 3 Euro server so I don't feel bad?  If realm transfers were a one way ticket I would buy you one to head over there in a flash. :zip:

Yeah HOMO bandwagoned to JQ, not sure they were paid the 1K gold or not

It appears they choose to transfer a few days ago then before paid transfers were in because I first saw them on Sunday I think. No one from JQ paid them anything, yet another silly rumour it seems :) They just choose to transfer, thats their choice.

Let this be a lesson to all of you who somehow think JQ delibrately stacked their server. The JQ community does not control transfers. Exhibit A - who seriously would want this chap on their server?

@Beastgat No BL has a queue longer than 15 mins. Also there is always 1 BL without any queue. I think Beastgate went to Sea of Sorrows and now is butthurt because he cannot ROFLSTOMP everything by running with a giant zerg.

Might have to do with their no posting policy making them hold some things in til they spill out in angry posts. That doesn't diminish my respect for them though, a vocal minority always exists out there.

Queues on JQ this week have been longer than normal, which is to be expected, but I've noticed that they're usually around 5-10 mins for the BLs, I havent been on EB for a little while now.

I don't wanna add any fuel to the fire of what's been going on here, but is it really so hard to just get over the fact that you may have lost, pick yourselves up, and try again next week? No need to call JQ stacked, or spread rumours around. Yes, our server is probably a little stacked, though I doubt we met the full force of SoS this week. There were a few people calling SoS stacked when you first started winning, but the majority of us didn't mind the thought of some good fights, win or lose. Try fighting out there for the good fight. You might even enjoy the feeling of not needing to worry about your next chest thumping or excuse for a loss.

Again with vocal minorities, we don't all think that. We all haven't given up hope or anything like that. No need for the 'pick yourself back up' speech. As Jedbacca said in his server analyses SoS have really overextended themselves, and this week has been a mixtured calamity of poos. If anything, last week was a major wake-up call for the server's major guilds and a lot have been doing a lot of internal work. This, and just resting, relaxing, that sort of thing. There are those that have been keeping that 100 per cent effort and even when we have full ques you leave our buts a little bit red.

You guys have really been giving us a run for our money, and its been great.

JQ's done really well not just this week but last week as well and although preemptive, you guys really do deserve your victory this week.

Screw holidays. Screw all this 'stacked' baby talk. Well fuggen done, JQ. Same goes for BG. Extremely well played.

But nonetheless, smd! SOS 1#!

This is the part of the SoS community I love. It's because of players like this that SoS will not only survive but thrive.

I think SoS will win next week. Not because of numbers, or strategy or queues or anything else, but because that guy Beastgate is on JQ. Every server he's on falls apart. Plus PtNlul is wearing a JQ tag. We're so screwed...

My mistake for not being clear, I was only addressing the people complaining.
Posts like yours are the ones we should be seeing from everyone, no matter the scoreline. No excuses, no complaints, respect for the opponents and a healthy dollop of server pride!

Last night, middle primetime,  2 mins to SoS BL.  An hour later 4 mins to JQ BL.   You're probably right let's remove the "no queues".
