The scoreboard doesn't do justice to how fierce the fighting has been in this match. Good fights out there, keep going strong.

Word, JQ and SoS have done amazing things this week.   Both are amazing servers with world class pvp guilds.

I'm extremely proud of BG as well.  T1 is teaching us a lot and it has been a fun brawl.  =)

I think it's safe to say Good Job to all sides involved. Was a very well played match and had some extremely fun fights highlighted by a few 3 way fights for SM supremacy in the early parts of the week!

Excellent fight on BG Garrison just now. It felt like clash of the titans when our two zergs hit. You guys certainly out muscled us with all them arrow carts, so major kudos to you.

I do have to say, I'm consistently impressed with how good your sportsmanship has been throughout this thread. When some of your server mates were being less than stellar, you stay classy.

This week is seeing a LOT of movement, seemingly behind the scenes.  Guilds scooting around in the dark, probably going to pop out mid week with a RAAAAAAAAR and scare the gowns off everyone.

Clever girl...

Something in the wind tells me T1 is going to start rockin like a van at a drive in theater.

I must admit I had hoped more guilds would spread out between the top 6 servers instead of the top 2. ND and UA would have been great additions on SoR, and made them a real contender in T1 with 24/7 coverage. PRX would have done alot of good to both BG and SBI.

I believe the NA bracket could have, and needs a close top 6, and not just a close top 2. I understand why the top 2 servers are recruiting however and you did a damn fine job recruiting these guilds. I just dont understand why these guilds are taking the easy way out. :surprised:

Public image, they strive off of it, the famous "name" and the "undefeated" title.
Not naming any, but specific guilds only stay alive if they are winning, if they start losing it goes downhill.
I am not trying to say winning is bad, but relying on it to stay alive is.

Nobody think globally like we wish. Human being always take the easy way out. However im sure they will suffer for more queue time from SoS/JQ than choosing to live on BG.

Good luck to all server in recruitment, We'll try our best despite being labelled 3rd in tier1 at the moment. We're not that far for our doable coverage anyway. It's just that we have totally no big Oceanic guilds at all (Australian), because may be most of australian population already join the big Oceanic guilds in SoS/JQ already while our oceanic numbers are no where to match them. More Aussie to BGs please! (NA guilds could also help in this case)

Funny, we never had queue except on EB (duh). Although this only applicable on SEA timezone because I only play on SEA timezone. Regardless I still think even our NA do not have queue on BLs.

And how can you say we have numbers plus queue while our ass always got roflstomped by Thai huge Zerg on BGBL lol

We used to be able to explore SoS's SEA weakness but that was before the move of ND to sos. Now it is not possible and i heard ND aint finish moving yet. And BTW 15-20ppl average aint consider "big" in my book.

Yes, I cannot deny that ND addition into SoS SEA is one of the greatest help we can wish for. But we still won't have the queue as you've mentioned earlier.

Really? Thai must have been very good then, since we thought there are more than 15-20 of you. Lol

Keep up the good fight guys, I love playing against Thai.

Ugggg. Even more coverage for SoS? And then a nice tidy lockdown. Great. Guess we'll have to wait for you guys to get bored or have another holiday.

As far as hoping folks spread out evenly, well that's thinking about someone else's life altruistically. Think, 'Why don't I move to another lower tier server to make sure things are spread out before free transfers end?' Not happening. At most, people might elect to stay where they are. The flow of population is upwardly bound. If you're going to move up, and it's going to be permanent, you head to the top so you know you'll have people to play with even when the WvW stuff gets stale.

I am glad they are ending free transfers. I've had 3 bad experiences with folks coming to JQ just to troll or cheat. Now, they're gone and once it locks down, they ain't coming back. Good job.

Here's hoping JQ and BG can close the gap, population wise. One 'power server' versus two less populated servers is no fun for anyone, including the number 1. With no threat of losing no matter how nutty your strategy gets, it has to get old. If there's nothing to lose, and victory is assured, what fun will that be? And, of course, a guaranteed loss is no picnic either, but at least has that glory of the underdog feel to it.

For the continued state of T1, I hope it evens out. My gut tells me it's only going to become a wider gap. But, JQ will fight on as always. I'm going to need badges for a long long time, so as long as I can find a fair fight here or there, I'll be living, learning, fighting and improving until they pull the plug on the server in 10 years or whatever. WvW to me is like the game RISK. I'll never turn down a good game of RISK with friends. Same here.

One last week until D Day. It certainly will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

Guilds are going to get critized no matter what server they choose to trans to.

Whatever changes come this week the current t1 match up is in place for at minimal three more weeks. If you have played mmorpgs as long as I have you will recognize how much can change on servers in three weeks

Oh nice! I was on my Char top center in that screen shot, chucking grenades at you and trying to make with some healing support. Fighting to reach that point was hard, and I thought  we were goners a few times. Just seemed like so many of you on that cliff. Definitely
my personal favorite moment of this weeks fighting.

That guy is from JQ.  When speaking of JQ zergs, definitely have to go with FoO here, they have upwards of 70 sometimes... pretty sure we crashed SoS BL earlier when MERC ran into them in bay.

No idea how many they had, could only see about 15 of them till I died.  The fight went on for over 2mins so if that's any indication...

Was actually a lot of fun though, idk how we lasted that long.

JQ is actually picking up coverage rivaling SoS with the acquisition of PRX and another I'd rather not disclose at this time.

SoR is getting SYN/Yaki, MORD, RMA (From SoS)

SoS is getting Never Die.

This is happening to all servers, there is no bandwagon, just guilds looking for new homes.

Having been in both tiers 2 and 1 within a short space of time, I think that this was the case about 2 months ago. There was a top 6 of potential tier 1 servers, however because SoR and IOJ were stuck in tier 2 for eternity against the same opponents, this slowly sucked some life out of them. If the match making system was more versatile, I think WvW would have seen a lot more match ups that have been as interesting as this weeks one.

SoS can lose if they get double teamed by JQ and BG.  Super Server or not, chances are they won't be able to fight off a 2v1.  If SoS remains dominate that's the only option if JQ and BG can't pick up enough people to combat SoS and their continued growth.

Well I guess you don't have to worry since JQ picked up a few big guilds of their own... Everyone should be playing for first and if your server isn't playing for first, then why are you here?  To be honest BG had the best opening night I have seen in a long time so they have what it takes!!  Thinking you can just 2v1 a certain server is a surefire way to end up third.  CARPE DIEM my friend....thats how you take first!

What an amazing match of WvWvW this has been, Blackgate came out hard and it set the tone for the fierce fighting to come. All week it has been intense and non stop around the clock, well done to all the servers. This was one of the best match ups we've seen in many weeks.

Now for next week, I must say that I'm really disappointed to hear that PRX is moving to Jade Quarry. The reason why the fighting has been so fun and memorable this week is because there has been some serious 3 way fighting. We want to play WvWvW, not WvW. The 3 way fights are infinite more complex than 1v1. I think that PRX should have moved to Blackgate for the competitions sake, and it would have brought balance to the tier, Blackgate is an amazing server and their tactics are right up there.

Yep. I'm disappointed in the decision as well. I have a strong feeling it's going to be WvW, not WvWvW in T1 for awhile. Maybe a long time. Time will tell I guess. Anyone being the Red server in T1 from here on out is probably going to suck. Ah well. People just don't learn from past mistakes. Human nature I guess.

Well as long as BG doesn't get totally blown out I can't complain. There should be some good fights out there if the matches are at least relatively close. I enjoy winning but I understand when it's a numerical impossibility.

Get the Blackgate propaganda machine rolling! :P
.
There are still a lot of great guilds still out there that are looking to join top level WvWvW and want to make a difference.

It's been rolling. For a long time. Well, not propaganda maybe, but call outs for coverage in certain areas has been going on for months. Maybe propaganda is required and we just suck at it.

General recruitment are fine but they don't really offer much but general information. Consider scouting for WvW guilds in lower brackets and propose the idea. Set up a decent sales pitch and you might get lucky. A solid small WvW team will add more to the server than a general militia influx.

I think it would be better for the health of the game if any guilds looking to come to Tier 1 look at a server like Blackgate. If we do not stop this arms race of coverage recruitment, we will kill this game, paid transfers locking us into our tombs.

Yeah, but you realize that screenshot is from when SoS did a server wide blackout in order to let ND xfer across. JQ didn't just get that much better, nor we complacent
