T1 - BG, JQ, SoS

Second, i dunno what is happening on these forums but SF is having a blast in wvw again. I wish SF could fight Agg more we have sort of a rivalry and our team gets pumped when Agg is on the map. I would say they are the funnest guild to have as opponents. something is always a surprise and they love to fight open field which SF also loves.
anyways I hope everything is all good on SoS, your server has the funnest guilds to clash with because they use new strategies ALL the time, every week SoS has something planned that I haven't seen before or a new spin on it. and even if other people don't admit it, I think SOS brought some new tactics into a stale T1 when you first arrived. Especially on offensive siege placement and some other stuff I am forgetting because it's 4am.
but anyways back to the regular scheduled program of cross server bashing. let's fight our fights in the field yea?

i hear that. That was SF 2 weeks ago. Even now on JQ we're not putting in the crazy hours we were on SBI. It's much more fun to play when you aren't stressing overtime.

It will be completely crazy from next week with servers moving up and down all over the place (probably moving multiple tiers). I don't mind at all - get to play against other servers, see different faces.

But the closer it is to "winner moves up, loser moves down" for the next matchup, the happier I'll be.
I think that two major factors in the health of WvW is balanced competition and "new" matches...meaning that we don't all have to face the same 2 opponents for a month, and then we get one new opponent for a month, and so on.
More movement in rankings is better than less movement in rankings.

Yep, is definitely going to be weird.
If you used the scores as they are right now on mos, Top 3 in ratings would be Kaineng, SOR and EB

I have to agree with this. Winner needs to move up. 3rd needs to move down. Unfortunately, anything more than this will cause horribly unbalanced match ups. BUT, I would love to see Anet reset the ratings every year like this. OR, from time to time, have a 'challenge' week where lower tier servers face higher tier servers with a point scale adjustment or handicapping system (like give them permanent breakouts and NPCs and higher points per objective), or just throw out the score altogether for these challenge matchups. make it 'okay' for servers to relax and do GvG and training and test fights. Just for a week.

TBH, I didn't notice any real difference with the new 'non culling' system. I still run straight through zergs and out the back. Now I catually SEE them ignoring me. I made like 20 badges last night, so I guess I don't need a rebuild (I won't say which servers I feasted on, but I was shocked. wasn't like I thought!)
Then again, I have gotten good at staying away from zerg territory.

WHOA! Where'd you hear that?
But yeah, I have noticed more and more mixed tag groups from SoS. Not just a few stragglers, but like 5 Agg and 15 misc. You know, like that. Where as before you'd see full tribes of single guild running around. VotF still does this. Saw Tsym still doing this, but Merc, Work and Agg seem to have intergrated some smaller groups and solos into their midst. That's a GOOD thing. That, to me, shows serious improvement. When you can take a group of rag tag one man guilds and make some hay, that's WvW at its best and most fun.

Jed....
To convert Agg math all you have to do multiply by 3.14159
So...let's say "12-20" means "16"
16 * Pi = 50
So, "12-20" means "about 50".
Happy to assist.

First, I got pissed at the reset after I dropped a whole bunch of siege in various keeps and towers.
Then, some of us went to work on finishing the monthly just in case it gave Laurels.
We had to have one guy show us where the jumping puzzles are. We don't do that stuff, and don't know where it is.
Then we had to make a few tortuous PVE runs in Fractals.
All in all, it was a night of crappy, boring, suck PVE for most of us, just to get the achievements before it's too late.
Props for not being a runner, though.
Die with glory and honor!
My kind of PVPer.
You, sir, are a member of a very select club.

It's just a rumor. I personally can't wait to fight Kaineng if we are paired up with them post rating reset and see if it's true..

Jang Gun doesn't even PVE, let alone bot.
It is just a lot of people abusing a very flawed system.

I agree with this fully.
I wrote something similar along these lines on the official forums, however it was much more of a long winded post on page 4.

I suggest people to log in and click the +1 button on the posts that you agree with, it might just give Arenanet the right idea as it's one of the developers that started the thread.

I heard it was a lot of WM and from what I heard it was also rescinded very quickly because as you can imagine banning so many people for "botting" doesn't sit well when an entire server is sending messages to get them back.
