Dragonriders [DR] Sea of Sorrows - These guys actively turn the tide of most any fight they find themselves in while not fielding the larger numbers.

PRO in FA is pretty relentless.  They defend their borderland like a cornered fox.

I think it's a collective effort. It's not one guild is better than the others. I know if DiE is active on the map I communicate with them about where I'm striking and where they're going to strike. Or Agg or Work. I truly think it's a collective effort and all situational.

Perhaps we should ask for people to say what is the best guild they've met in a skirmish... Ruling out guilds on their server (unless they switched over etc).

[Thai] have one of the best response times to ninja-takes that I've seen other guild than PRX, so props to them. *shakes fist*.

In that case, the guild [Bad] Bad Apples from SoR was my favorite guild to skirmish against. You may not have heard of them, as they are a very small guild, but they are skilled.

WM, RG, PRX and VotF are the best in terms of what they can do in a given night on a map.

PRX and WM are the best in terms of their effect on a server.

Ruin belongs somewhere on the list, while they were still a real force they were both the easiest and most effective opponents.

CND and TL can probably be called the best pre-release guilds.

I'm a fan of "HashtagYoloSwaggerFourTwenty" [YoLo]. I am the founder, sole member, and treasurer. They seem to know what they are doing, and they are just so god damn sexy.

Gotta admit, [DR] has come to my rescue on many occasions. [VI] loves roaming around with them because our playstyles mesh really well together and we get some crazy things done together.

As for non-allied guilds, Strike Force [SF] and Lords of Death [LoD] from SBI were a lot of fun when SoS first got into T1. Never had I seen really effective melee builds until those guys smashed me with hammers. Good thing I was running double stability and mist form.

Damn, I have a rather large list I could recognize, if I leave any out someone will smack me.

Stormbluff Isle
RAGE, Mord, LoD (Now retired), NK (Now retired), Yaki, NYS, SBI (Yulo runs a guild for the pugs to educate them in WvW), CRNG, Calm, sF (Select Few) It truly is hard for me to pinpoint teams from SBI, the team makeup is that of many small guilds that form Voltron

Sea of Sorrows
Tsym, Agg, DiE, Merc

Jade Quarry
AoS, GODS (Once FIRE), Oreo, SICK, Nord

Sanctum of Rall (I have yet to make my own observations but my team members have made mention of the two following guilds)
CDS (Friends from past SBI), Choo

Kaineng
WM (Overall morale booster even with a language barrier)

Really tricky to say which is best because so many are good at what they do but what they each do can be very different. Here are my thoughts based on some categories I just dreamed up and encounters that I remember most and fairly recently. Kept it to my top seven.

Best individual players I have had the misfortune of meeting (I consider myself average at best solo wise)
WM, LoD, Sexy, DiE, Atac, SF, Rage.

Best small man team play
Nord, DiE, LoD, SF, Sexy, WM, Rage

Best big man team play
PRX, Tsym, FIRE(JQ), WM, Agg, Work

Best tactical map play
FOO, WM, AoS, EMP, Tsym, MERC, Work

Bahahaha!  Yes they come as twice the number of JQ people and still need to use the AC target reticule bug to take Briar back.  Yes they are superb!  Wooowoo!

As for guilds I'd say:
LoD, sF, CRNG, OPSN, Nord, Rage

I am sorry but I can't say that extremely large guilds are good, as I can't tell because they just flow over things.  You can talk all the tactics you want but when you outnumber your opponent by a large amount it just comes down to numbers.

WM.

Hate those dudes with a passion. They lock you down and roll you. I wish they were still on SBI so I could possibly have a chance to see them again and try to do some damage. Many times WM broke my will to stay on their map. I cannot say there is any other guild that I even noticed the tag while playing. WM, it was like "What was that?" then "What just happened?" then "How the hell???" Then I started to actually pay attention.

Now let me also add this:

WM has a ton of class. I have never, ever seen them act like tools. They rarely turn off target to chase one lone runner down and then corpse hop like it's a big deal. They come in, kill, and act like it's no big deal. They are pros. Good people too.

Tsym is pretty good. They are the thinkers. They find odd things to do and then do them until you stop them. They don't give up on an idea if it fails once or twice. They'll shove a Trebuchet up your hiene if it will fit.

I must say, those are probably the only two guilds I hear called out a lot. You always need everyone to know where they are.

Other than that, I see a lot of teamwork among smaller guilds that add up to some impressive stuff, but for guilds as a stand alone, it goes WM, then Tsym, then everyone else in my book. (excluding JQ guilds, because it's kinda lame to praise your own server).

I really miss fighting LoD.
EMP,AoS,Tempest Wolves, Nord(I miss running into their roaming team).,

There was also a mesmer with a guild tag (Wolf) that i would see taking out 5man roaming teams solo.

I'm glad someone remembered CND. They really did set an early standard for HoD.

SoS:
Work,Atac,FoE,Tsym,Agg,ONE,AFS,OCX, VI (I've been face rolled by 5 of you with a much larger force many times)- All these guilds contribute to one of the most well oiled machines i've ever seen and compliment each other's weaknesses better than anything I've ever seen. Work and Tsym run some of the biggest and craziest map tactics I've ever seen. Atac and FoE seem to always be testing something new that is extremely powerful and very very good. Agg you guys just have skill and coordination on a level I haven't seen many guilds have before. ONE,AFS,OCX (I think that's the tag)  you guys truly let how you play in the game speak for your guilds which is awesome because you field some of the best teams i've ever seen.

BG:
HB,Thai,Icoa,KnT
(I'm not familiar with many BG guilds these are the one's i've fought past and present BG)
HB-You guys are a cut above the rest always doing something new and always destroying the opposition (only faced your EU group haven't had the chance to fight the NA crew)
Thai-Ninja machines all I can say is you guys backcap stuff while defending better than anyone i've fought
Icoa-Gave us some fits on reset good players great scouting and persistent
KnT-You guys are very tactical in any and all attacks which makes you very dangerous both open field and when assaulting a keep because you always seem a few steps ahead.

SBI-
SF-Crazy coordinated and if you jump into their zerg with anything but an army and extremely tanky gear you won't last longer than two seconds. (BTW those hammer's hurt!)
Rage-Group who i've noticed do the little things like escorting yaks watching towers/keeps and all around doing the slow dirty work that can make or break a map

(I never really notice many tag's because usually I run into SF and am dead on the ground when the rest of the group rolls through so if I missed any I'm sorry)

WM-All I can say is the morale you bring pug's and the confidence you instill in them is just amazing. Never seen a better group that could rally people fast and achieve what they wanted.

Lastly one guild from my own server not because they are from my server necessarily but because they have helped in so many ways.

FOO-These guys are awesome whether you fight them or play with them they will push you to your limits and you will learn new things whether watching them or playing against them. (I've seen a few groups use their siege placement when going on offensive's Tsym especially) These thing's aren't bad the whole point of WvW is to learn from the group's you are playing and adapt the tactics that work and improve as both player's and people.

If you look at the original message it does state EU or NA.  So your troll is not so good.

AoN. They love wiping zergs, and they do it often. Their groups of 5-6 consistently take on groups of 20-30 and win. It's scary.

I'm going to list most effective small-ops or small team groups I've run into in the last month or so. Disclaimer: I am from SoS

SoS: Dragonriders [DR] - Whenever these guys engage in combat the tide will turn, or they will die trying.  The former happens a lot more often than the latter.

SBI: Remnant Heroes [RemH] - One of the most coordinated asault groups I've seen from SBI since LoD left.  I haven't seen them a lot but when they get a group together the results are pretty impressive.

JQ: Nordvegr [Nord] - Whenever I see a [Nord] tag, I know the fight will be good.

BG: Hands off my Octopus [Homö] - Only run into them a few times since the BG matchup is still new, but these people are the real deal.  Good coordination, tough, and deadly.

I would add Urge, EA, and LoTD on the Blackgate List, but no doubt, HB is the best we have in tactics and put heavy pressure on the enemy.  I would also like to say Smokee is probably the most effective commander we have on BG.
