My friend was drinking stupid amounts of energy drinks. Here's a friendly reminder that getting nauseous with the jitters are good reasons to lay off the caffeine, let's just say there's a reason you're throwing the caffeine up.
There's plenty of articles out there cataloging the issues encountered from too much energy drinks. Make sure not to overdo it on energy drinks or caffeine, be it Monster, Rockstar, Verve, or 5 Hour energy. If you're going to do energy drinks though at least do one that nutritious. But it's probably best to avoid them all together.

I personally hate the taste of energy drinks. They're meant to be taken mostly for physical exertion anyway. Drinking them in gallons whilst sitting on a PC can only be harmful in the long run I think.
On this note, even more innocent hydration stuff like Lucozade, Powerade and the like are pointless and fattening - they're meant to replenish sugar and fats lost during heavy physical exertion. They give this stuff in races over 10km for a reason.

I drink no caffeine drinks at all, besides some coke, but only rarely, if nothing else is there to drink and I have no problem keeping up with other people on lan-parties that drink energy drinks and coffee the entire time to stay awake.
I sometimes think caffeine actually makes you "weak" (for the lack of a better term), as you need more to stay awake. When you never drink it, you don't need it in the first place.

I avoid caffeine too, I get my energy from eating fruit, It's a natural booster and there's less of feeling of being burned out.

If you want more energy just take vitamin B suppliments at the levels the bottle tells you is appropriate for your weight.
Not only will it increase the amount of energy you have it does it by increasing your metabalism naturally so you will burn calories & not have a crash.

People have died from drinking just a few energy drinks, if that says anything.

Vitamin B increases you hunger, not recommended.
Energy drinks should be stopped if you start having stomach pain and hungover feelings in the morning. You're intoxicated and need to lay it off for your organism to detox.
Also fun fact, alcohol takes aprox. 40 days to get fully detoxed out of organism
Watch out your health, no game is worth it.
