Hi guys,

I'm after a bit of clarification regarding the interaction between attunements and conjured weapons. I've been thinking about creating a high-crit build with Weak Spot and Piercing Shards, and using Lightning Hammer in water attunement. Would that proc Piercing Shards? If so, do you think it would be maintainable?

Ofc it will do, just remember that Weak Spot gives only 1 stack of Vulnerability that lasts 5 sec and only 60% of the times u make a crit hit...
Example: 10 hits, 2 hit/sec with hammer, with 50% crit chance 5 hits are crits and 2-3 could trigger Weak Spot. you have covered all the time frame with at least 1 stack of Vulnerability assuming u never interrupt to attack

So, yes it can be done but you must have a very nice crit chance + wish someone else can bring vulnerability too because if you are busy kiting OR ur Thor's Hammer is on CD it's gonna be a huge loss in DPS
Not to count that numerous situations are no_meele_friendly especially for us Eles (you dont even have the small range manage of a D/D with Hammer), therefore i suggest you to bring Glyph of Storms and cast it in Earth attunement right after you engaged ur enemy

As poster above me said. If I were you I'd rather use a weapon that attacks faster or has more hits per attack. Like conjure Frost or Fiery Greatsword.
