You could just try it out ingame, only cost like 2silver to make a guild.

Unless they changed it you should be able to. In beta, we made a temporary guild. The name we wanted to use, Lost My [MIND], was taken so we made a guild called Lost Our [MIND]. It seems that the guild name is reserved, not the tag.

There are two different guilds on Jade Quarry, Plague [SICK] and The Infected Ones [SICK]. We didn't know about each other until we happened to run into each other in the same borderland map.
