Yes, it is. It's from 3 weeks after the game was released. I only meant to show that Anet has the capability to give its player base a way of seeing the kind of statistics that this thread is polling about.
OT: I wouldn't mind another blog post from John Smith about the state of the economy, either.

I really, really wanted to love the Engineer. Aesthetically, it is my favourite profession in the game. But I just couldn't love it. Not because it's weak necessarily, I was killing stuff fine. It's just... clunky. Awkward and clunky is how I would describe how it plays. It works, just not with the synergy or elegance of other professions. I mean, grenades are great AoE, sure... but it's not actually fun to spam ground targeted skills to no end. Turrets are also still a waste of time, and there are lots of other bugs with the profession.

they are in this order
1 - Asura Engineer
1 - Norn Ranger, as i originally planned for her to be my main, she isn't, Asura are way more fun to watch!
1 - Human Elementalist
2 - Asura Thief - when the elementalist reaches 80, i'll park her somewhere and go on to leveling this thief
3 - Asura Necromancer - << and so on and so forth
4 - Norn Warrior
5 - Sylvari Guardian << least play
6 - Charr - Thief < i think this one is to be deleted.
side note: how to ground target without ground targeting
point your mouse in a distance (so that it isn't out of range) directly in front of your character, run and spam 1,2,3,4,5

When I see a Charr player loping by in the open world, I think, "Wow, that looks cool."
When I play one, I think, "Run faster, you mangy cat!"
That's really the only reason I don't have one yet. I've made plenty of great looking ones in the character creator, then deleted them shortly after. Eventually I'll commit to one... probably... but it better be a profession that gets to perma-swiftness easily and early, though, just to keep me pulling my hair out.
I know it's just a visual thing, and that they are moving at the same speed as everyone else. Still doesn't help how it feels.
Which personal story branch would you recommend?

So...any charr I make will be a caster.
Well since we're putting orders to it..
1 - 80 Human thief - 100% explorer, my fractaler and recipient of my first "big dollar" weapon, Wintersbark. Soon.
2 - 80 Norn Guardian - my dungeon pugger. Survivalist extraordinaire. Party boons to the ceiling. Would be my main if my thief wasn't so far ahead.
3 - 80 Sylvari Mesmer - CM dungeoner. Might take into WvW sometime, not sure. Have a lot invested in it so I don't want to delete it, but it's kinda boring.
4 - 80 Human Warrior - alternate dungeon pugger. Shoutheal and some good DPS/tanking. Hard to narrow down a weapon set I like best, though axe/shield and axe/mace are taking top honors currently.
5/6 - 28 Asura ranger and 36 Norn elementalist - only using them to learn their skills and the asuran story path for achievements. Both will be deleted after learning all skills, to be replaced with charr necromancer and norn engineer for the same treatment. not investing a single dime into these alts.

Back then I voted for my most played character, being a Female Human Elementalist.
Created her right after finishing the game on my Ranger and really enjoyed playing Elemenentalist.
Done a lot of Dungeons, Fractals and WvW.
After this character I also made a Male Asura Mesmer, Male Norn Guardian and a Male Norn Necro.
They are all lvl 80 now and fully geared in exotics.
Over the last month I think my main or most played character has changed....
These days every time I play GW2 I pick up my awesome Necro.
He's currently set-up as a conditionmancer but I'm also working on a power build.
Only need new jewelry, boots and a new dagger and he's rdy to rock his might stacking power crit build
He will be my first character with a complete 2nd set of items (armor, jewelry and weapons).
Therefore deserving the tittle of being my MAIN.
Couldn't change it here in this poll, so I made this post instead....
Norn Necro FTW

Profession - Guardian
Since most guards don't know how to heal for **** I'd rather do that job myself.
At first my ranger was the main now I just use it when I want to DD, also using my warrior when I want to melee, but guardian remains my main it's an all round class imo.

Of course, Human Guardian. Boring, right? If I had to do it over, I would have done a Norn Guardian, but I don't feel like rerolling.
Here's my character with Ledge Worshipper Darrin

I must admit that after playing for a few months now, any new characters that I create will likely be Norn, or Human...and most likely female. I love the look of the female armor options, especially the light armor looks. I also really like many of the heavy armor looks. Medium armor options are okay at best, which is very disappointing given that my main wears medium armor.

Despite my Ele being my official main, I do tend to spend more time on my Human Warrior, farming for Bifrost. Gotta make the bookahs do the manual labor, after all.

How is it though that rangers are third? I like rangers and all, but there's no way I see as many as I do elementalists or mesmers...

Kind of figured the Guardian would rule since it's like a warrior with heals basically. I can solo a lot with mine and I never use dodge ability. I think that was the silliest thing they could have put in this game. Most players just want to wham bam thank you mam play and not so much tactical bs.

Guardian is probably the most well made character in game followed by Elementalist and Warrior. When I thought of a Guardian, I thought big and I looked at my female Rottie. Hence I chose a Female Norn. When I thought of Warrior, Aragorn came to my mind. Rolled a Human male toon.
My Elementalist is my first toon on Guild Wars and it is a human female. I just could not see myself playing a toon wearing male ele armor.

I moved my soldiers to CoF and now I consider my charr ranger to be my "main". In the absence of heroes, I need some dumb, pretty AI to follow me around and the pet fulfils this role sufficiently well. Plus the sword is the most fun weapon in the game.
Followed by the necro (the current necro is a norn, but I am constantly temped to make a charr one) and a norn guardian.
I also keep forgetting how much I enjoy the engineer, so once I level him up he might join this trinity. Although I also can't decide between the charr and the norn so he keeps getting deleted and this means it might take some time before he gets to 80.
