We will soo have way of playing on another server without having to leave our current one.

What about agreeing as a community on server where everyone would guest when playing open world PvE?

It would be worth it to consolidate leveling/exploring population to single EU and US server. We could even get to state where there is overflow at Sparkfly Fen and Balthazar is being open 24/7!

Another (if there would be need) server for fractalers/dungeon runners and farmers sounds like sound idea too.

So, can we agree on go-to server? Have a big vote?

Lowest rated WvW servers would probably be the best option.

Henge of Denravi, Sorrow's Furnace, Ferguson's Crossing, and Eredon Terrace are the lowest 4 servers according to the last set of rankings on the 11th, in case anyone wanted to know.  My vote would go for Sorrow's Furnace.  Can mods make this thread a poll or something so people could vote on it?

Something like this would seem sensible.

The wvw server system isn't good for the pve part of the game.
For pve you need maximum or near maximum player population so the game world looks populated, events and dungeons have plenty of people around to take part.

wvw is the only part of the game that should require you to be in a semi fixed server and tbh its a bit of a fail idea.
the wvwv server idea looked great on paper as they say but the reality is pretty poor, not least because it makes it a lot harder to get together with friends and guildies to do stuff other than wvw and it makes having friends and guilds split over US and EU servers impossible.

I think wvw would be a lot better if it was Guild Alliances vs Guild Alliances and forget the server restriction.

End of rant and back to the OPs idea yes concentrating players by any means for pve activities can only be good for those parts of the game.

Why? I don't think WvW has much to do with PvE population...

I would suggest worlds which alrady have high population in pve zones, if any notable ones exist...

1. To create a reason to be on those servers. There's almost no reason to be on a server with poor WvW performance currently and there is absolutely no reason to select a server that is poor at WvW if you will be selecting a home server after the 28th. So if there's a community push to create something useful, creating superb PvE on these servers would be an amazing thing to do.
2. I wonder if guesting will be limited by population numbers - for instance, less people being able to guest on high population servers than low ones?

I like this, but the population and WvW are two different things. My home world, Ring of Fire for example has very high population, still we suck at WvW ant there's not too much going on in PvE. Seafarer's Rest on the other hand is a T1 server, but has only medium population. A friend of mine transferred there for a week and he said, there was much more going on in PvE.

Anyway selecting a server with low WvW rating and population seems to be a good idea, because like Protoss said, they may implement some kind of flood control, that prevents mass-guesting on full servers.

For EU, Vabbi, Fissure of Woe and Ruins of Sumitra are all bad at WvW and have only medium population. So as long, as they are not known to be some unofficial whatever servers (like non-english), they seem to be a good choice.

This sounds like decent list to start with.

I think that is what would be required to make this thread usefull...

Poll list of eu servers and another with us servers.

Sorrows Furnace may have a poor WvW preformance, but our PvE population is quite large. Balthazar is open most days, and dungeon areas like FotM are packed. A guildie of mine actually got thrown into an Overflow in Queensdale yesterday, but that mainly because of the Hispanic guilds that use the map to complete their dailies. Still, we wouldn't mind more people to hang out with :D

This is a good idea. Will be especially helpful for playing at night.
