Hello guys, greetings. I am Mayoken, leader of Cryptic Omen [CO] on SBI, one of the former leaders of [CaLM] Before The Storm. In the last two weeks I have left CaLM, which i led for about 9 months since April and did a lot of pre-launch recruiting on this website and others.

I brought over 30-40 CaLM members and formed CO with a few other small guilds that merged into us. Our focus is World vs World and we plan to make a NA presence on Kaineng. Right now we have 159 members and 155 of them logged in today. We peaked at 74 online at the same time tonight, and average 65-70 online from noon - 7pm EST. The last World vs. World event we had, we had over 54 members come to the event and rock the borderlands with us. Right now our guild is brand new although our experience is not, so please do not overlook us.

Our options were either SoR, JQ, or Kaineng. In the end we chose Kaineng.
No bandwagoning, just looking out for the best for CO.

If you are a guild and considering moving to Kaineng, please send me a mail or whisper me in-game ASAP. We will offer you all the knowledge we have of the infrastructure here and help you narrow down your choices even if it is not Kaineng. If you choose to scout Kaineng, I can give you a guild invite. You can scout how CO operates and come witness the potential and manpower Kaineng has. We want to build the best community we can and are now currently reaching out to you.

Hopefully Kaineng will be a good start for us.

The question should be "What does CO have to offer Kaineng" Because to be honest, its pointess to join a server thats already raping in WvW. You wont be much help there. Its better to join a server that's struggling like Yaks Bend or any of Kaineng's opponents, that way you can actually make a difference.

The way we see it is that Kaineng still needs a strong leader for its NA team. It does not have one yet. CO will bring 4 months of T1 experience and organization to the NA atmosphere on Kaineng. We plan to spearhead communications and networking over there.

Mayoken is an excellent commander that puts in the effort for more than one map. Kaineng, you are getting one of SBI's best commanders. I have followed him both as a pug and as a member of a major guild on SBI.

I dont understand why your only options were among three servers that dont need the help of a well established WvW guild.  

Ultimately your doing what you feel is best for your guild, like you said, but i cant help but wish more guilds would try to help balance more servers.

We narrowed down to servers that had a heavy oceanic presence. We wanted to make a difference in NA and really struggled to do that on Stormbluff due to us losing all of our oceanic guilds. Again the top 3 oceanics we narrowed down to were JQ, SoR, and Kaineng. Since JQ and SoR really don't need any help and do have que's during NA prime time, we chose Kaineng. This also gives us time to establish as we move up from T5 this evening to T2 over the next month.

Another week being dead last in the fight for our server is incoming. <sigh> I think we had a big migration a while back and those who are staying  (such as myself) are sorely outmanned and outclassed.

If it makes you feel any better, SBI was my home since the first day of headstart and it too was destroyed because Anet did not lock down servers months ago.

You may also have some NA support comimg from IOJ.  I cannot comment on numbers or specifics but I can say we would also be interested in facilitating communications for other NA guilds.  I look forward to working with Kaineng's guerilla natives and the battle hardened SBI refugees.  I have only ever read good things about both.

  I don't know where I and my guild will end up yet, that is in discussion, but I will say this....

  I have nothing but love and respect for my fellow SBI soldiers, wherever they end up.

  No doubt many of us will find ourselves in combat against one another. We will kill each other. We are soldiers, and that is our purpose.

  But it will, at the same time, be a tremendous honor and challenge to go to battle against friends.

Not former friends. Friends. We just serve a different cause.

  It won't stop me from slaughtering them, but they might get a little bow from me when I kill them.

  So, wherever I and my guild end up...to all my fellow SBI'rs, War Machine included, I look forward to meeting you all again, as allies or enemies, regardless. It will make World vs World that much more fun for me.

If it wasn't for those that couldn't handle the heat leaving the kitchen we wouldn't need to make a move to another server and it is sad that those that opened the flood gates are those that decide to act as if others that are basically forced to make a move are the ones that should be blamed.

Welcome to Kaineng the new SBI/IOJ server.

Really don't get it.  If you couldn't hack it on SBI........why create a new SBI server guys ;p  You'll just raise this server up to the same point and be back in the exact same place with the exact same problems that you should have fixed instead of bailing the first time ;p

Sounds like you should have stuck it out and you could have inherited the IOJ folks along the way.

it made sense at first with the free transfers still in effect.

where SBI was sitting FULL quite often kaineng has a long way to go before it will ever say FULL..

if they could have pushed it to T1 and sat there a couple weeks they could have picked up enough bandwagons to maybe queue their little nearly PVE barren server out on 4 maps.  they could pick up a lot more bandwagon players than SOS, JQ, or SBI ever could by staying low pop.

no telling what will actually happen though.  especially with the server transfers being shut down.

It is not as though as the WvW folks on SBI did not try. Work is from Dragonbrand, why did you not try and pull ppl to DB instead of going SoS? The reasons are not so different if you are able to see from another perspective. Because people don't dictate the tide, and it's out of their control. With free transfers coming to an end, time simply ran out for IOJ and SBI.

simply chain effect, guilds leave one by one. i wouldn't surprise more guild would be leaving. it really a bad time for SBI

We fought for SBI when we were there for 4 months. We didn't fail the server, they failed us.
I was not going to sit back and let CO deteriorate over the course of the next 2 months as SBI is knocked down to T7-8.

So far, our Friday night match up was exciting and we were able to hold Kaineng BL with most of our guild.
Woke up the next morning and we owned the world (not surprising).

Excited as many NA guilds are started to Xfer to Kaineng how we play out in higher tiers.
