E.g your 'daily' could take you a week to do and would'nt reset during that time. Once you did it, it then reset the next day.
Sometimes it feels like a grind to try and get a monthly done by some clock driven deadline.
Joking right about the monthly grind. You have a month! Lol

You can't copyright a product name, only trademark. And you can't trademark song names. Nonetheless there have been some litigation attempts, but I really doubt Anet has much to worry about when they aren't anywhere near the same class of product.

None the less thank you for the information and I look forward to seeing what plans Anet has for us coming on like a flame then turning a cold shoulder.

Well what happens when something happens that prevents them from pushing the build out within the promised time frame? They've never been one to give out these kind of specifics for updates. It be here sometime today. Just be patient

Without changing a single talent point, I can keep up Swiftness 100% of the time with an alternate set of armor. I showed a friend in The Mists that by changing one talent, I can make the buff -gain- time. By making a specialty spec, I can start with 65.5 seconds of Swiftness while Warhorn is on a 28s recharge with 28.5s benefit.
All of that is solo. Add just one other person with similar buffs and set up, *shrug* HOV lane through city traffic.

Since the passive speed buffs update they did a little while ago, with traits, signets, and utility's I don't even think you need runes, I know with guardian with staff 3 skill, save yourselves and retreat, with a small amount of boon duration, you can get perma swiftness on guardian. If you can that with guardian which got no speed buffs in last few updates, you can definetly do it with any profession with ease.
Be interesting what direction Anet are taking these "riding brooms", im guesssing traits and passive skills will still work with them but active skills and utility's will probably count as combat and knock you off the broom.

And what if one of those things in the notes breaks just before release and they decide to pull it out of the update in order to be able to release it "in time"? Then they will have a massive amount of posts whining about some of the release notes being lies.

That is however more or less what ArenaNet themselves say to people that asks for patch notes. They don't release patch notes until they are 100% certain that everything in the patch notes does manage to get into the actual patch.

I suppose you have never worked in any kind of business that works with deadlines.
If something happens 10 minutes before the patch goes live that breaks part of the patch, they simply leave that part out of the patch and can therefore change their patch notes before posting them.
If they on the other hand have posted that thing x and y will be in the patch, and 10 minutes before patch time thing y stops working and they cut it from the patch, people will whine like mad about how they lied about what was going to be in the patch.

Assumptions much? I'm probably one of the most positive players of this game. The update and notes will come out and I will happily run around playing until my fingers cramp, but.... I don't want the Devs rushing to throw something out because people are impatient. (And yes, I admit to feeling impatient and eager but I can wait.)

Had you read my post history you would have seen that I am probably one of the most positive writers here on the forums.
We are being realistic. It is very possible that something might happen, and instead of shout at ArenaNet and tell them that they are worthless we have already accepted the fact that things do happen.

Why assume the event will start the very hours after the patch?
For all we know the events themselves won't start for a week.
