I just switched builds to test a friend's trait set and now I am getting "IMMUNE" in red text above player's and pet's.  I have tried relogging and even reloading client, still occuring.  Ideas?

Its because passive effect of virtue of resolve is still on those people/pets, and instead of renewing the effect it displays immune. The passive effect will be re-applied to those people/pets when it has worn off.

I also witnessed this in WvW yesterday as a Mes ran to a certain spot on an incline, behind a supply camp and was immune to four attackers for over 30 seconds. I know the time by ranger guildie being able to drop two barrages on her before she moved. Very odd encounter.

I do not have a pict because I play on a Mac laptop.

The way you describe it it would have had to have been on them initially?  Yet they are just random people in LA, etc.  But thanks for the answer, wasn't sure if it was just some local (on my client side) bug.

Welcome to Battle Presence. It's from that. Nothing you can do about it- if someone has full health that's what will show up.

By the way, Battle Presence is presently bugged. If you have any boon duration in your stats it will reduce the effectiveness by half. I can explain it in detail later, I'm in class at the moment.

This. When you're in towns, just change your trait in that slot if you want the immunes to go away. Then you can click back to it once you're going into combat.

The first time it is put on those people you won't see immune, because they don't have it yet. You were asking about why you see immune all over the place, so skipped ahead a bit.

Okay so now that I'm home - For those of you that don't know, Battle Presence is bugged such that it is considered a boon for purposes of boon duration. Battle Presence places a 3 second buff on up to 5 people around you which causes them to regenerate health once per second (3 tics) until the buff wears off. The problem is that the buff does not stack like a boon. So if you have boon duration increases in your build, what happens is that you place the buff on them for longer than 3 seconds. When the trait tries to reapply the buff again, it doesn't because the buff doesn't stack, and the buff already exists on that person. So no matter how much boon duration you have, if you have even 1%, you will get half of the effectiveness of the trait because that's how long it takes to cycle it when it doesn't stack the second time it tries to apply. So it goes success/fail/success/fail and so on.

Throwing this tidbit out there because it's a really bad bug and more people should know about it.

Wow, that's a pretty bad bug. It also shows how inconsistent Anet's programming is: guardian's binding blade and weight of justice's damage over time are affected by condition damage but not condition duration. Go figure.

I know and have encountered (in WvW) exactly what you are talking about. I am certain it is a glitch and the 'glitch' lasts indefinitely, not merely '30 seconds' as long as they remain in that spot.
