Who: You and friend or two (or three!).
What: Introductory guesting party!
When: Tuesday, January 29th starting at 5pm Pacific Standard Time [NA]/ 7pm GMT [EU]
Where: Metrica Province (Jade Quarry [NA]/Aurora Glade [EU])

Level an alt, tackle the jumping puzzle, shoot for map completion, or just hang back and play some Golem Chess with your friends and fellow forumites. Our introductory guesting party aims to fill zones to the brim with players looking to have a good time. If you can't make the start, don't worry about it! Just stop in whenever you can and soak in the action. Remember, you can only guest to two servers within a 24 hour period, so if you aren't on Jade Quarry, make sure you save a slot for the event.

Also, feel free to bring a friend and spread the word. We're looking to completely fill up at least one instance of Metrica Province, so we're going to need some help from all of you to make that possible. If this event has a solid turnaround, then this will no doubt become a regular thing in the future. This will be a great time to play with your friends, and even make some new ones.

This is a neat idea and cool usage of the new guesting feature!  

If I could make a suggestion the Forum mods and admins could make themselves identifiable with alts using their Forum names (or actual character if they want and ID-ing them in the thread).  

Hey, how about creating a new guild just for the event?  (Or one used for similar events).

It's not really the same kind of event as Pink Day and such. The idea is to fill up an entire zone with players looking to have a good time, so there isn't going to be a whole lot of side-activities like Jeopardy or hide and seek (for now). Right now what we need is word of mouth for it to be successful, so tell yer friends! ^^

Also, I'm sure staff members who want to be found will post their respective IGN's as we approach next Tuesday

I don't exactly have any friends that play GW2, but I'll let my guildies know what's up. =) Also, on the subject of guesting, does anyone know if events done as a guest on a server will add influence to your home server? Or to the server you're guesting on? Because I suspect there will be a lot of guests running event chains!

Oh dear! I have a problem. Which character shall go and what shall she wear? Is it formal, semi-formal, casual armor or optional?

It's starting at a set time, but that's just a guideline to get as many concurrent players into a zone as we can. You can arrive early or late without missing anything

Unfortunately for me, 5 P.M PST is gonna be right near the start of my work-shift so I won't be able to show up for this until at least 6 hours later.  Do you expect Metrica Province will still be overflowing by that time?

This sounds like a ton of fun! I'll anounce this on the live relics of orr show this weekend. If anyone is interested in doing an embedded reporting job for relics for this event that would be muich appreciated. I would cover it myself, but I'll be at work during it

Just a reminder that tomorrow's the big day! As far as the NA event goes, I'll be playing on my asura "Crixx" in case anybody wants to find a familiar face to group up with. If I'm not somewhere in the zone, you'll likely be able to find me near the golem chess stations or in the jumping puzzle.

Remember, it's not to late to spread the word! The more the merrier!
