This.
If that's not something that you are interested in doing, I would say that I've had good experience with Sanctum of Rall. Our WvW is pretty consistent (not top tier, but we've been chilling in Tier 2 of NA for a while) and the PvE has a good community. During some of my strange play-times (due to RL constraints...early morning IE 5AM~ish) there is something left to be desired, but I don't expect there to be massive amounts of people on, all day, every day. When I do get a chance to play at more "normal" times, there isn't usually people lacking in the PvE areas, except some of the middle level areas, but even then its not too difficult to find at least a couple other people willing to run events or even work on clearing the whole map with you.

Some people have attitude problems in WvW, but I only ever notice that on our own borderlands; the other borderlands and EB are great.

WvW yes, agree, is a good one (about player's performance). Don't expect "that much" wvw playerbase. How do i know it? simple answer: no queue at all

And no, JQ is not an anti-social PvE server at all; there's people talking in chat all the time, and the only temple that doesn't get taken regularly during the week is Balthazar...and that's because that event chain sucks. It's nearly always taken on the weekends. I myself participate in Grenth at least once a day, and I've done Melandru and Lyssa more times than I can count.

We just moved up to T3 in WvW after two weeks of roflstomping the other servers by about 3 or 400k. Lol last I looked we are in 3rd this week but its a very close game and me and my guild welcome the exciting challenge.
As for PvE, I friggin love it. Obviously I can't speak for every zone but from my experience, each zone is populated enough.
Now the biggie-Orr-that's a whole other story.
On any given day or time there can be as many as 1-4 different temples open. This server kicks complete and total butt when it comes to having them open. This would include Balthazar as well but he's been stuck. Something to do with reinforcements not progressing towards the temple after arriving at Pact Rally. I'm hoping this is just a rare fluke and were good to go after the server reset that will come with tomorrow's patch.

p.s. my post covers the entire life of JQ (in the past at launch ye, it was what you wrote), not what you saw yesterday or 2 days ago
Sorry to tell you but even a mod here posted the same, and can confirm

Just to be clear, we were never *y about things. At least my guild isn't. We had to cancel WvW nights because of the diff in skill between us and the others. WvW is boring when your share of the pie is, well....the pie. Lol
We give it our all but in the end we don't care if we win or lose, just that its an entertaining experience. HAVE AT YOU!

I'm on Tarnished Coast, the unofficial NA RP-server. Tier 2 in wvw, atm mostly in second place because SoR has more coverage and some very decent WvW guilds, but we stnd our ground as best as we can. Decent community too, not too many jerks around though we have a few just like any other server does. In PvE its the same as most places, some zones are generally pretty empty though you are likely to always see a few people around doing mapcompletion or some roleplay.
A week or so ago we had 12 large guilds do a 20 minute blackout, in an attempt to lower our "full" status to "very high" in order to allow a guild to transfer over...
But, as i said: Everyone always feels their own server is better then all the others.... In the end its your own experience that matters.

I have to agree with this. TC has good wvw and good pve. Granted I use the LFG web site for most groups, you can see people out all the time and there is usually an acceptable conversation in /map.

The guild itself is crossserver, all your architecture and influence however stays on the server where it was built/acquired. so if you build a guildbank or research something on server A, you wont have access to that on Server B.
edit: This applies to when you transfer ofcourse, not when guesting.

p.s. lose access to the guildbank and any progression is a pure nonsense, clearly a lack of proper programming interserver
