My guardian's build is Power+Precision and the runes I am currently using are Superior Rune of Baltazar(x3) and Superior Rune of Flame Legion(x3).

I like them because of longer burning duration, but they probably aren't the best for me as I do not use Sword/Torch (I'm a Sword/Shield and Mace/Focus).

What I would really like is something that could give me more Condition Damage, or maybe even Critical chance? (My critical is fairly high right now, >50%).

My traits are 10/30/5/10/15 and stats are (Power: 2,041), (Precision: 2,002), (Toughness: 966), and (Vitality: 1,016).

Putting aside the cost of runes, what do you guys suggest?

(I would have put my build/armor inside one of those build creator things, but I don't really understand them).

I'm not so sure runes that extend burning are the most useful. Correct me if I'm wrong but aren't destroyers immune to it( at least in gw1 they were) as well as other monsters? I'm fairly new to guardian (playing one up to Level 62 so far) but I think if u want added DPS, runes that give more power would be very useful. I'd like to hear some of the more experienced guardians weigh in on this as well.

Burning duration could be useful I guess if you want to maximize use of radiant power and fiery wrath talents. There are certainly other options that I would choose though. I personally am using 6x lyssa to supercharge my renewed focus, But I use an ah/em build

You really shouldn't geaar for condition damage as a guardian.

This is because all we have is burning & the way burning scales/stacks sucks, especially if its the only condition you have.

That being said some of the traits we have that are effected by burning/conditions are alright.

For instance firey wrath & radiant power are very good for power/precision/prowess builds due to how often we can keep up burning while in a group.

All this being said if you want to max out your damage potential as a guardian your best bet is to go with a power/precision/prowess build & add a rune that adds either power or precision.
The rune of lyssa is good, so is rune of the eagle & rune of strength.

You don't necessarily have to run with runes at all. If you want just raw stats (and can't afford divinity runes) there's all kinds of orbs that can work pretty well. I personally like Emerald ones the best for a crit build, since I have the trait that converts 5% of toughness into precision and use master maintenance oils, so I end up gaining a fair amount of crit by having high toughness, and emerald orbs give precision on their own anyways.

The current cookie cutter meta build for all classes is power/crit above all else, at least that is what the flavor of the month crowd had been saying for a few months now.

I say don't sweat it, minor and major runes are still pretty cheap, you can afford buy a few, try them out for a few hours, and decide for yourself.

As to which ones: Visit the GW Wiki page on runes and use your browser's page search to highlight the buffs you want. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Runes

Or you can simply buy some buffing food at the TP to buff the stats you want to try, with out changing gear upgrades. Try running for few hours using a food that buffs condition duration and decide for yourself if the result was significant to the way you want to play and then buy the runes for that. Check the GW Wiki page on food: http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Food

You should build your toon to match they way you want to play. If you like how burns work, go for it. If you like crit's then do that. Don't listen to the min/maxers.
